number 1, the good nonCH BE pets cost MORE than 50k, and you can most likely find one on a vendor (you must not have looked hard enough) or special order from a master BE (most will do it, some wont). so basically, ill defend arthurs position on that, no reason for us to try to suit your price needs on a board that is supposed to be about issues and topics of discussion about the profession itself.

Frankly, I wonder what the point of your post is? Are you sayingbioengineers are bad salesmen because we don't jump at a chance to make a marginal profit on a hard to make creature? Are you sayingbioengineers are bad salesmen because somebody told you to make a trade request on a trade board thereby upsetting you? I am sorry that you have encountered many empty be vendors, but this is probably good evidencethat all the pets sold because demand ishigh....hencegood salesmen by definition.

I do not condone rudeness in any fashion, but I also don't think anybody is doing a bea favor by dangling 50k out there for a creature that is a royal pain in the tookus to make. I doubt you have any clue what we go through to make a good non-ch pet...and that's fine as long as you accept that it is aroyal pain and understand that is the reason they cost so much.Personally I ask closer to 100k for a good non-ch pet and I don't do special orders. Anybody that doesn't agree with anyprice on anything is certainly not forced to pay it. If it doesn't sell then the prices can be adjusted, but if you will refer to your own post....be vendors are generally empty...and that is the best evidence of all that we are good salesmen in my opinion.

i think a good 1/4 to 1/3 of this forum is already about our increasingly less intelligent customers....

Drak,

If you were to walk into my shop and try reverse-auctioning my best pet, I'd walk over to the building control terminal and add you to the ban list.

Don't come in here and start bitching about BE being bad salesmen, when you've epitomized the bad customer. Do you have any idea how much work goes into collecting the DNA needed for a high-quality clone? Hell, my mid-range pets sell for 50K.

Look,

I was pissed about these responses - Even if my Dangled price was too low....Why - If I am a willing buyer would I do whatever it takes to get the best? I don't know why No one responded to my trade forum post....I thought it was a nice post.....maybe because you guys don't read em....It really doesn't matter.

I didn't start my thread here to argue with all of you...I just needed some help....

There was no reason for anyone to respond to my post, except if you had something to offer or something constructive to say PERIOD....

Plain and simple you dont like what you see then go elsewhere. I myself will not change my prices because some children complain about money..If it's that hard for you to go to Dantooine or Dathomir and do anywhere from 5-10 missions to pay for your purchase then I am sorry to say you my friend have the biggest issue of them all..It's not Why Bios are such bad salesman it's Poor little whimp who cant go do missions to earn money starts to cry scenario if you ask me.. I personally as a MBE am very stern on most my prices unless you happen to be a Rebel that I know and like then you might get a VIP price other than that boo hoo, that is what I hear from your mouth..Useless post here.

And FYI if you dont like your responses perhaps next time think about your Topic Header before hitting submit..Calling BE's BAD SALESMAN in the BE forum is not what I would call a nice gesture.

Let me explain why you got some of the responses you did...

BEs suffer an affliction commonly known as tell hell. Within minutes of logging on, I start getting tells for this clone, that clone, the other clone. I have people trying to offer me millions for a bunch of pre-patch clones I have on display in my Zoo -- clones which are broken, by the way. I havepeople mailing me elaborate messages for CL 39 clones with 60% kinetics, light armor, strong poison and strong disease, and ranged, and whothen tell me they only have 20K to spare. I have people call me extremely rude names when I told them I wouldn't make them a broken uber non-CH clone -- because they were broken. I won't sell broken pets.

Your post came across as though you thought you were doing BEs a favor by offering them 50K+ for a pet, provided they first marched their wares before you. This, combined with the tell hell, did not endear you.

Then to come into the BE forum and accuse BEs of being bad salesmen...

Frankly, you've hit a nerve. Customers can be extremely rude and pushy. I've stopped taking custom orders because of it. Now, I pretty much only clone when I feel like it.

Drakoid,

You know what? I'm not in it for money. Not at all. Almost 100% of the pets I make now are made for friends and their referrals, and I make just enough to make sure I also have a few really nice pets in my vendor at all times, and I take a lot of pride in those things I make.

But I'll tell you what would make me a *really* bad salesman, would be to do what you wanted, and that is to post my very best pets stats for you to oggle over just at the hopes that you would bless me with your paltry 50k offer. No, if I cared about maximizing my profits, what I would be doing is listing my very best pets on the bria server trade boards, andlet*you* and others like you, bid on them, and pay hundreds of k for them.

I choose not to do that (I have no problem with those that do though, god bless em, and good luck), I choose instead the "warm, friendly, affordable" approach to pet making, and pet selling, but just because I do that doesn't make me your **edit**.

And as far as the reverse-auction thing goes, I know of no "real" artisan who would touch such a thing. If I want a real real nice set of armor, or a gun, or whatever, I ask people that I respect who they got theirs from, and who they respect, and go and pay whatever that stud professional wants to charge, and thank him/her for their time and for offering such a good product. I don't go to him and say "I'm willing to pay X, you give me the best you've got and I'll tell you if it's good enough". That is just flat out insulting, and nobody with any self-respect would do that.
