Thread: Making Lvl 10 pets...any advise?

I was trying to make pets for non-ch with no luck. I tried with the Razor Cat and kept getting lvl 11 pets. I wish the DNA was labelled as to what level pet you are going to end up with. The one lvl 10 pet I got had Health of 67! Action was 211 and Mind was 821. I had to tame it just to laugh at the unbalanced HAM bars over it's head.

I was using vynock DNA. I believe they are lvl 10, but i'm not a master scout so i can't tell. If i didn't experiment on the Physique, I was getting single digit hardiness and fortitude. These stats seemed to have the biggest influence on the HAM. I was only able to experiment 1 point into it and that was enough to bring it up high enough to make the pet lvl 11.

Has anyone had any luck making non-CH pets? I would appreciate any advice or hints you could give me.

I've been able to make lvl 11 and 12 animals with decent stats. It's the lvl 10 ones for non-ch that I'm having trouble with.

I'm also even more annoyed with the fact that I can't check creature level when I'm sampling. It wasn't that important with the old cloning system but means a lot now. I don't have the skill points to get Master Scout either.

I think you can takepets lvl 11-15to a NPC creature handler and have them "fixed" =) (fixed=nerfed to lvl10)

I made a CL9 Gurreck. The trick is to 1) sample lower creatures (I used gurrcat on corelia) and 2) use crappier materials (meats/flora)

heres another idea .. and an accidental route to a CL 10 bol, just right for riding i hope! ) I made two level 26 critters out of just average-above average piket dna, sampled them enough to get 5 and comined them into what i hope will turn out to be my CL 10 Bol mount (color dark red *grins*)

I'm still a bit new to the profession and lack 2 boxes from mastery so i cant verify the mechanics of the technique there, but it seemed to work out pretty well. I won't say anything about HAM numbers because i cant recall off the top of my head, although it seemed that one was over1k and the others were just under it.

I haven't been able to sample off pets in my inv yet. The gurreck had something like 1080 HAM and Intimidate special attack I think. 120-130 dmg ... so not bad for a cl9 pet. About in range of a gualama.

Vulnerabilities are the key. Or a Key.

Try this recipe. I just used it and out of six creature made, all were level 10 with the exception of one, with average stats of 3.5k Health, 2.5k Action, and 1k mind, with kenetic and blast resists at an average of 8-10%, 50-60 damage.
