Thread: Request to Bio Corespondent
I.e. the box would show 0 with no DNA used...as we plugged in DNA then the Box would show the most likely Level we would get at that time.
And then during the experimentation the level would fluctuate showing what experiemntation does to the level.
This way we could actually control the level of something.
Also tell them to put in info on the Creature Creation part of the Crafting screen a Minimum and Maximum Level of something....so that way we dont have to have a trillion loose sheets of paper around while we play, and then find out something was altered on the last patch.
And 3rd...pass on to the development team that if they intend to have minimu levels of something and maximum levels then they need to also have minimum stats and maximum stats.
And lastly tell the team to get rid of the that stupid DNA sampling level limit...there is already limits on the creature skins they dont need a limit on the DNA sampled.
It amkes no sense at all why the Bio-engineer has double or triple limits on everything yet a Droid Engineer and any other crafters do not.
Yeah I really like how the R3 droid I just got is more powerful then anything I have ever made for its level of 11...yeah 6000+HAMs has all crafting stations on it, an arae to carry 11 objects and can even aid my healing with its 110 level medicine skill and does over 200 damage per hit.
yeah so anywise...thats becasue they put limits on us, that are not needed.
Idiot limits in fact.

As for the DNA limitation we have a Certification System for Creature Levels already in existence and a DNA level limitation is redundent.
You're comparing the certification for pet levels with the DNA sampling levels? Something that existsin the CH profession compared to something that exists in the BE profession. And you're saying because of the pet level limitations, DNA sampling limitations are redundant????
WTH are you smoking? Two totally seperate things. Please explain to us lowly masses how these two are even remotely similar enough to even be compared. Then explain how the CL level limitation effects the DNA sampling limits.

Could you please...PLEASE pass on a request to have a box that displays the Creature level of someothing on the template during the crafting and after creation of the template.

I am confused... You can't just put that on the DNA template because skin is also a factor... (Don't beleive me sample 10 Nuna's, make two templates, put one in a Razor Cat and one in a Rancor)
Also as they have mentioned it's non linear so it would be dificult to project the out come unless it decides before you do something, which really blows, because that would mean critical fails are decided upon. (I KNEW IT!)
I agree that maybe an estimate or something would be nice, but it's effected by skins too.

Brownie points to Kevm for use of my favorite phrase
As for the DNA sampling cap, as much as I would like more variety in high end combinations there is a good reason sampling is capped.
If there were no limit on DNA sampling and we could sample any creature in the game then CL 70 pets would be just out of whack as lower level pets.
We've already seen that pets tend to hit the limit of usefulness around CL 35 - where you can have everything you need for a PvE tank - 10K -12K HAM 60% Kinetic and Light Armour. If you say there is no sampling cap then I would say without a hard cap on creature stats, we would very probably be seeing 14k HAM, Medium Armour, Max resists CL 70 pets rampaging across the galaxy - granted there would probably be a huge increase in the number of MCH's around (no bad thing) but I dont really think this is in the dev's vision of the game.
What I do think we need is more creatures in the cl 60-75 range, there are only 8, and this includes the foul desecrator, gronda juggernaught and reclusive cavernspider queen.
I would also support the increase of the level cap on sampling deeds, nothing more frustrating than a cl 76 piece of furniture.

I may be misinformed but the only effect that skins have on final levels is if there is a minimum level a certain skin can obtain. In your example above the Razor cat would come out to about a level 4-5, but the Rancor will be a level 35. This is because the minimum level for Rancor skin is 35. However, if you took Mutant Rancor DNA and did the same experiment then both creatures would come out at the exact same level with exact same stats.Well the exact is assuming the DNA was exactly the same, which we know it wouldn't be, and that the experimentation came out exactly the same, which it never does. But, if you were able to use the template and create the razor cat, take a picture, then manage to use the same template and create the rancor... well you know what I mean.
If I am in error on this I would greatly like to be informed.
I think it should all be done at one time if it were to be done his way, you add the skin the 5 dna parts, the meat and flora, and do it all at once, this might help decrease critical fails too, since we have two shots at it currently.
Thanks for the one star.
I see my points are still valid.
As for the DNA limitation we have a Certification System for Creature Levels already in existence and a DNA level limitation is redundent.
And please dont compare easily obtained materials with a higher stat limit to DNA its not even close to being the same.
