Relatively new MBE here, pure pet cloner (not doing tissues). Anyway last night after a long session of DNA sampling on Endor I got back to my lab to start making clones. My goal was a solid CL35 pair to hand off to my MCH character using the MH, MH, DMA, BMB, MA recipe that's so popular on the boards (see the newbie used the search function
). Anyway first attempt was stellar! CL35 11k/8k/8k AR1 60% kinetic resist, 34% acid resist, dizzy (MCH is also a smuggler, he can knock down creatures just fine) and Strong Disease as specials. Wait. 34% acid resist, where the heck did that come from?!!?!?
Long story short it seems that having the inventory in "tiny icons but sortable list" format either messed me up or caused a bug and some other DNA got into the recipe. I know I had Mantigue Reaper, BMBQ, Deranged Mantigrue, Prowling Gurreck, and Blurgg Sand whatever DNA in my pack as well, but darned if I could reproduce the result either in game or in the swgcreatures DNA lab.
Lesson learned. Before hitting the combine on the DNA template always remove each DNA, check it, replace it, so that you are certain what you are combining
I did manage a reasonable CL34 with dizzy and strong poison with the MH/MH/DMA/BMB/MA recipe later in the session though so all was good as far as my CH is concerned.

Hehehe, yep, I've been there, done that. One time I just had come back from a successful trip to Dath where I had gotten a few precious mutant rancor samples. A guy came up to me and asked me if I could make him a "furniture pet" so I ran right outside my shop and got 5 gnort samples and threw them into the blender and out popped his pet... or so I though. I was at first very surprised when this unexperimented pet came out with a dizzy special and surprisingly high ham. Then I realized.... DOH!

/gasp
I think I would have been sick Arthur....lol
I can say that I haven't dont that yet...but, there have been nights were I have stayed up til the wee hours of the morning wondering....what was I doing?....oh yeah...reference notes one more time....what did I put in there?...better not screw this up. Of course, that's still not worse than crit failing with MR DNA. Boy that stinks to the high heaven when that happens.
