Thread: A new form of pet-check or just a nasty bug?

I take it you have put away your speeder/droid before trading?

Also try taming something obviously non-aggressive like a durnie made from durnies - it might have something to do with it miss-reading agressive creature levels (from memory non-CH were not meant to be able to have agressive creatures, even though they could be made CL10 or less?).

Probably completely unhelpful...

Yep, didnt have any speeders out or anything...

I dont think it has to do with aggression because 1) I'm nonCH and have tamed CL10 and below anglers, huurtons, narglatches, etc... and they are all perfectly controllable by nonCHs, and 2) The Veermok had the same problem and isnt aggressive. It seems to be morea problem with the pet info in the datapad than the deeds themselves.

1) a non-ch can only have two pets in their datapad

2)woolmander and angler are agressive sohe won't be allowed him to have them.

Yeah, what Mozter said.

There's another bug we ran into on the Kauri server. If a CH tames a pet from a deed and try's to give it to a non-CH it won't transfer. If the non-CH tames the deed an eror message comes up with the "too many pets..." or the "you lack the skills to call..." message. The pet goes into the non-CH's datapad. Then the Non-CH trades it to the CH for training. After all this the CH can then transfer it back to the non-CH.

I haven't had a lvl10 agro pet usable by a non-ch since the BE revamp back in Jan. (?)

One other thing to check is that your datapad isn't full. If it is it doesn't matter if you have no pets in there, it will just fail you.

Not that I've been caught out by this, oh no

*cough*

Hey,

I had a customer buy a pet from me... Actually, 3 pets... A CL10 Veermok, CL10 Woolamader and a CL9 Angler. When he tried to tame all three he got the error message about having "too many pets stored in this container" when he didnt have any. He gave the Veermok deed to his gf's char, who is nonCH as well, and she tamed it just fine. He gave the woolamander deed to a CH, who tamed it just fine. It was still CL10 and didnt need any stat adjustment. But, the CH couldnt trade it back to him; he got the same message. I bought back the Angler deed from him, thinking he was just glitched to death... But, lo and behold, I get the same message trying to tame it that he did, and I also dont have any pets in my datapad. So, I findaCH, who tames it for me; its a perfect CL9. He also cant trade the pet back. Now both me and my customer get this message when we try to tame a pet or have a pet traded to us. We cant have any pets now. I made myself a wimpy CL3 Bearded Jax from gnort DNA and had the same problem.

Has anyone else either experienced this or had customers come to them with this problem?

Both of us, of course, sent a bug report and Customer Service Ticket... No responses yet, and its been a few days for him.

Yep, neither of us have ANY pets, and my datapad is only at like 31 capacity, and I asked him if his was full, and he said no, but didnt tell me what percentage it was full.

perhaps the aggression thing is with the angler and woolamander, but that still doesnt explain the problem with the veermok?

Where were you when you tried to tame?

Sometimes it says that when you're inside a building like a house or starport, if you go outside it tames fine.
