Well, I never thought I'd be writing to ask this question, since I thought I'd never make one. Anyway, I have a really good friend in the game who just became a jedi initiate. I figured I'd make he a really good pet to help her get decent xp while killing things she shouldn't be able to kill on her own. Anyway, I can't seem to get the creature below level 12, no matter how much I try. This is what I've done so far:

This, I put 3 points into Physique and got a level 13 pet with almost 11k ham and 60% kinetic, so, I figured I'd make a pet using a similar recipie:

1st Generation

I experiemnted 3 points in physique again and, I assume since I wasn't paying attention, got a level 22 with armor... so, I tried this:

I experimented 2 points in physique because if I experimented with any farther, I would have gotten armor again, and wound up with a level 12 with only 8500 HAM so, I tried this:

2nd gen

Again, a level 12 after experimentation with about 9k HAM. Only thing I can think of is that some of the resists, like blast and acid or something like that.So, Itried an entire template with 2nd gens and still got a level 12 with 8k ham. My original pet died in a sampling process,as did 2 of my 2nd gens, so I pretty much haa to start over again anyway. So, I started playing around with other stuff and made a nice 8500 HAM 50% kinetic using Merek Harvester, Shauput and Sevorrt DNA, but this is not what I'm looking for. I want to make her a 10k HAM 60% kinetic pet, but no matter what combo of 1st gen, 2nd gen stuff I make , I can't get below level 12. Only real difference is that the Sevorrt pethas like 10% in some seconday resists and only has one special. Any suggestions?

I figure I might need to make a pet with as many vulnerabilities as possible breeded into it and then blend the two together. but is there a simpler way to do it?

There's no simple way to do it, really. I made a couple for myself, but only use them for grouping purposes ... I wouldn't sell them myself. The ones I made were half to see if I could.

On another note: did you know that using Voritor Dashers and Bols is an easy way to get vulnerabilities to all but Kinetic, so long as nothing else has a special resist?

No, I knew about the Voritor Dashers since they are used in the 4-6k ham cl 10s and you only tend to get 15% kinetic and nothing else in resist except blast I think. Didn't know about Bols, never used em. I'm not selling this one... just giving it to my friend and I figure I'll probably never make one again. Would lesser plains bol work as well as bol? Just figureing maybe I can make one using just one base creature instead of making 2 and blending them...

Thanks Nancy, never thought of the jax because I assumed it would never allow me to get to a level 10. Gonna try it out later on, but I just got some dna and they have a nice hardiness and a low fortitude as well as lots of vulnerabilities which is just what I need. Thanks for the tip, though.

Furrycat, I'll try that too. I was afraid to do it earlier, guestimating that it would drop me below 10k ham. Need more MH dna first though. Thanks for the ideas, all...

I find the easier way to do it is to make a pet with all the vulns and specials you want, then just go 5xGen and sample down till you hit cl10 - usually in 1-2 gens. MH MH Bolle Bol Stomper Merek Assassin MA was the formula I used to use - got 60%kinetic but I can do better than cripple/poison on my pets now =) The idea is to get 60 kin and vuln to the rest, no armor, then figure out how to experiment so you dont keep the CL too high.

just remembered had a non-ch ask me for a tank pet, when i said how much i would charge him, he decided to call me all sorts of stuff. i was like " well what do u feel is a decent price for a pet that is very powerful for its CL and anyone can use??" he responded with " ummm i dont know, like 50k " i proceeded to tell him to find another BE, or pay my price
