I sure this drum has been beat before, but is there any chance that BEs might get a vendor someday?

Every item we make must be used by someone else, and they cost so much to make that selling our items on the bazaar is not practicle. Sure we could grind out some artisen stuff to get a vendor, but that just seems that a profession that needs it far worse than basic artisen should have at least 1 vendor included.

I see...

Master Chef is much more specialized in what they can craft and provide so in theory Master BE may be more valuable. They have amuch broader market with their clothing enhancers, food enhancers, creatures and pet medicines. I do understand that in the current economy there is a much higher desire for food buffs (a few specific ones for sure ) than many of the products BEs provide. This is the much bigger problem. The BE products probably need to be made more valuable or there needs to be additional useful products added. This unfortunately is the much harder thing to do.

The market for tissues is really very small.

Many chefs, rather than deal with a BE, just make an alt to get the tissues they want. This is not why we need a vendor, but adresses the statement about how many desireable things we make. Chef products, on the othe rhand, are used by everyone, but its not very likely someone will make a chef alt.

I don't think too many tailors are making alts for tissues, but the demand here is far lower. I've had my Master Bio engineer title up for a long time, and I've not had one request for Tailor tissues. Basically, those tailors who use them develop a relationship with one BE to make the tissues. But its not considered a necessity for their profession like it is for chef. Tailors can do quite well without ever making a stitch of BE clothing.

The only thing we make that is desired by a mass marketare petsandpet stims, and even those have a very limited customer base.

You concede that while we may be "more valuable" than chef or tailor, our products are actually not that desired. This is exactly why we need vendors to make them more available to those who do desire them. There is only a handful of BE on each server, and giving them Vendors +1 would have minimal impact on the server as a whole. But for many BEs, it would make their profession much mroe enjoyable to be able to sell their products on a vendor without giving up other much needed skills for the 24 points it takes to get one otherwise.

I was under the impression the goal of the developers was to make the game fun for everyone. Having to telemarket my wares, or hollar in front of Starports to sell pets, or change my templateto control a singlevendor with no otherskills in the line I desireis not fun for me. And I find it very difficult to beleive that anyone else's "fun-factor" would be negatively impacted if I had access tomy ownvendor. In fact, it might improve some aspiring chef or tailor's fun who has spordic playtime such as my self, and does not have the time to stay on-line running all over the galaxy to deliver tissues every day.

So Imay beating a dead horse, but I haveplenty ofothers to beat as well.

Give me a vendor or give me death! And I want a free schematic too! And Pie! Lots of Pie!

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.

Pie?

Well, if they would just allow Merchants to subcrabtact vendors It wouldn't be such a big deal.

That would be great... but expensive I bet... not to mention BORING for them, unless they could have unlimited subs.
