several days ago i got an order for a

CL 10 Gurrcat
Knockdown
Dizzy Attack

After checking SWG Creatures to find a decent DNA donor I headed off to Rori to locate the Pigmy Torton Caves.

I am currently 2-4-2-4 in Bio-Engineer and have been wracking my poor brain around this creature for the last few days... I Cant get it below CL11 except for once. The one time i got it below CL11 it came out a CL6 little kitty cat instead of the decent combative protector the customer was looking for.

I know that I am not the best Bio-Engineer on Starsider but I do seem to be the only one on Talus so I dont want to lose people by having to send them to someone else for their pets.

I hate giving advice about CL 10's because it inevitably leads to.... hate.... and hate leads to.... the dark side (aka the "exploit" CL 10 argument)

But suffice it to say that you can of course substitute your pigmy torton dna in the 5th slot of any of the popular CL 10 recipes (do a search for them). The only thing is that if the formula calls for something much weaker than the pigmy torton in slot 5, you may have to "distill" it down a bit. (e.g. HP-HP-HP-HP-adolescent pigmy torton, and repeat as necessary until you get "pup-like" stats with the pigmy torton specials).

You may also want to inform your customer that the knockdown special is broken, so the pet will not do it when commanded to.

IIRC its not broken, its intentionally that way. Some specials are just not meant to work on command.

I considered the Voritor Dasher recipe but that would mix special and effective resits.

You could use a VHQ Torton Sample in slot 1 instead of the VD and a Roaming Bordok Stud in Slot 4, if you use AA hurrton pup in slot 5 the special should pull through from the Torton

rofl. Ok, can we get a paranormal specialist in here? I think TH may have posessed Nancy's body. She has been gone for the last week you know, who knows what might have happened to the poor girl during that week.

OT: for some reason this last week I keep getting requests for Cu-pas. I've had several people now come up to me and start going on and on about wanting a non-ch Cu-pa and then saying they want it for real cheap (unlike the real expensive 40k ones I have in my vendor... sheesh)and don't care about the stats I don't care how friggin wimpy the stats are, it's not worth my time making a pet for 1k .... there, I feel better now getting that off my chest
