Hello. I'm climbing my way up to be a MBE. I'm grinding while harvesting mollusk / crustacean with harvesting tool. Here's the question: Are there any trick on how to get more mollusk? I mean are there any particular place, time, water depth or something like that that matter or is the amount purely random? I was harvesting like 7 hours yesterday and got about 1k of both. I noticed (or it could be my imagination) that when I had my factory droid near me, I got less mollusk. And I also noticed you don't get lots of mollusk at rivers.
But at least this is faster than collecting eggs. :/

Im not really sure about this, but why on earth would you need mollusk meat. I've been told the tissue we actually use them in is either redundant or disfunctional, and I have only had 1 request in months as a BE. (and that was from a new tailor wanting the entire range.)
Is there something I'm missing here?

I can't remember...but i'd just say unless you have a lot of spare ham, a lot of spare time, and maybe an alt that can afk-harvest this stuff 24/7 for ya, it's usually not worth it as you probably won't get a respectable amount before the spawn shifts.

stim-D's are fish, and you cant AFK harvest mollusk as they dont auto stack in your inventory =)

So I think it's time for me to stop stand in the ocean... At least I made it to 44x4 with 3k of mollusk and 2k of crustacean.

Mollusks go into mimetic circuitry (+ Cover). It's been awhile since I was a rifleman, but imo it's the single most useless tissue we make. The only time I've ever had a request for any was from a new tailor, who then decided not to buy them. You can collect them afk, sort of, you just have to pile them every 10 minutes or so. I consider this to be a bug, and I'd like to see this changed. In any event, it takes several hours to collect the necessary amount for even a few crates, and it really isn't worth the trouble.
