Thread: A special creature template which should be easy. Or so I thought...

Got a request from a past customer for two pets with the following:

10k(ish) HAM, or at least 10k in Health
60 Kinetic
30+ energy
Light Armour
Dizzy and Strong Poison Specials

CL28-30

After a failed first attempt with a bad set of creatures (Merek Harvester / MH / MH / Arachne Drone / Arachne Drone) which ended up with what I wanted eventually but energy vulnerability just kept on sticking. I looked a bit harder and came up with the idea of

Bark Mite Burrower / BMB / BMB / Merek Assassin / MA (max physique)
BMB / BMB / Gen 1 / Gen 1 / Gen 1 (max physique)
BMB / BMB / Gen 2 / Gen 2 / Gen 2 (max physique)

Ended up typically at CL33 mainly due to damage and a few excess resists I couldn't remove, so without resampling further and losing the work done so far it's back to the drawing board.

Now thinking about sticking with the BMB as the base creature, but swapping the MA for a Giant Spined Snake. Anyone think this will work or anyone got a better idea? It seemed to simple to start with...

60/30 < CL 30 is a tall order indeed. Usually when I attempt a creature like that I shoot for CL 35. But in any case, I think it would help if you mixed some thune herd leader in with your BMB, FG, AG, YMPW or whatever you are using to get the kinetic and energy and that should help get rid of the extraneous resists. Also, you won't be able to keep introducing BMB or whatever in the 1st two slots at each generation. I know its tempting, but that just re-introduces all those 80% resists that you want to get rid of.

bolle bol stomper is your friend....Endorian DNA and helps cancel everything but energy and kinetic from merek assassin.


BBS BBS MA MA MA


should give you kinetic and energy, vuln rest, with your specials. Then just gen it with


BMB BMB G1 G1 G1


and you'll have to do another generation for armor....maybe something like


BMB BMB BBS G1 G1


since the BMB will bring back some heat and elec resists.
