Well my Guild wants to put together a hit squad if you will, that will run throughout the Galaxy destroying opposing faction bases. We plan on starting out with static NPC bases and once we get profecient with that, we will move onto player bases.

My question is this. Is there a FAQ out there for us Bio Engineers as far as our part in the base take over? Im just curious as I dont want to have the Guild waiting an hour and a half while I try to figure out my part. I have heard that it has something to do with DNA sequencing. Has any of the Bio-Engineers here tried this, or better yet been successful in doing this? I figure this will be nice for a change of pace while I try to get my last box of DNA before hitting Master..

BTW how long did it take you to hit Master? I started out as a Novice on 9-22-03 so its going on two months. Im hearing of guys doing this in two weeks....Is this true? I cant even begin to imagine that. Pure grinding machines. Anyways thanks for any info you can shed on this matter.

I've done quite a few faction bases, and here is what I have come to know:

The terminal gives you a sequenced strain of DNA, but it is missing a gene. It gives you a list to pick from, about 40 items or so, all of which are labeled A, C, T, or G. Personally, I just randomly click them. Once you match up some pairs, you will see things like AT, CT, AG as valid selections: you can ignore these now. Just keep clicking the single letter options, and eventually you will break the code. There is probably a more scientific way of doing this, but hey, whatever works for you. I can do one of these babies in about 5-7 mins. Also, it is good to stress to your groupmates that your terminal is not a simple 'ON' or 'OFF' switch; if I had a credit for everytime someone said 'WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?!?!' in groupchat I'd be able to afford a holcron.
