So after a bit of work, and a lot of requests, I finally have the location tool in place! Go have a look! Here's a cross post of my latest news tidbit detailing the new feature as well!

Head on over to www.swgcreatures.com and give it a whirl!

So after a bit of thinking and some code magic (at least for me!), I finally have the mapping of creature locations online!

Now comes the fun part, getting all of you to help me enter in locations for creatures so this is actually a useful piece of information!

So here's what you need to do. When you find a creature in the wild, not your coordinates. Now, bring up the details of that creature from the database. Over where the planet is listed, click the Add Sighting button and enter in your coordinates!

Once you have done that, you can now see your newly posted sighting in action! Back on that creature's detail listing, click on the Planet Name link (Endor, Dantooine, etc). A new map will pop up with a pin showing you the locations entered for that creature!

Please check to see if the location is correct! This is new and I have not been all over a planet to test out all coordinates! If you find a pin that is way off the mark (some minute variation is okay), then please let me know, including the correct coordinates!

Anyway, I hope you all find this useful!

The maps are taken from http://www.simantix.co.uk/swgmaps/

Simsimsan on Starstrider made them. I am still trying to contact him to be sure he doesn't mind if I use them on the site

Hopefully he won't mind, but if he does then I'll just swap them out for some other maps.

Wow..nicely done site. Im gonna have to register to it..Nice maps..Dont know how you got so much detail into them..but very well done!

Very very nice. I printed out the older version and put it in a binder. This new searchwill definitely make things go a lot faster

NICE!!

If I weren't at work right now, I would have registered already.

I'll be signing up as soon as I get home.

This will mean even MORE clutter on my desk, but this is too good of a set up not to get involved...
