Thread: Mutant Rancors Hunted to Extinction!!

Hey was wondering if any other BE out there have encountered the problem i have been having all week. My usual location for mutant rancors , sometimes refered to as the rancor plains has been invaded with hunters. This group or groups of people slaughter every Rancor in sight. then when it respawnsthey go at it again
. I was at this location for an hour today and doing the normal BE thing of waiting till the rancors quit bashing eachother so i can attempt to do my job....When this group shows up and begins thier killing spree. I politely asked them not to kill them all and explained what i had been doing....but alas these greifers laughed and continued to kill them and the next spawn as well. I asked them couldnt they kill other rancors that are higher and beyond the Bio engineers reach for dna. I was then told that they dont descriminate and just kill all rancors they see
. So Now what iam i to do? I spend all week going to the rancor spawn sights to repeatedly find them empty and already wiped out or like today i finaly find a spawn and then have them taken right out from under me. I am usualy very polite when i see other BE in the field and always willing to share a spawn . I have also encountered many hunters that unaware started killing my dna targets but when i explain it is my mission or that iam trying to get dna they move on. but what is a BE supposed to do in a situation like this? These hunters are stealing the kills without a thought and then continue to do so on every respawn. I have tried different times like early morning and late night only to find this week no matter what time of day i go the Hunters have already been there or are soon to come back. Anyone out there encountering this problem and have any suggestions? I have two orders to fill and now have thought about cancelling these orders due to the unavailable Mutant dna

There are a lot more combat related classes then DNA sampling classes so its really not fair for you to ask that the combat groups not kill mutant rancors. Try to find an area less hunted. If the plains are busy go try around the sarlacc pit, there areusually mutant rancors there. You can also try the rancor cave, I usually have good luck there.

LOL "...really not fair.." the people he is encountering are acting like complete and utter @ssholes and you have the balls to call HIM unfair ?
IF it was me, I would take down every name you encounter there who is treating you that way and have them banned from every building you have access to... is especially great in Player cities.

It doesn't sound like they are being too reasonable, however there is another option. Ask them if they mind you taking a sample off of each one. It is unlikely you will kill the creatures. They can have at them. You get what you want. They get what they want. Win win, if they are reasonable.

Try searching to the south of that area. I've been having good luck finding mutant rancors in the stretch south of where you're at around the sarlacc POI and north of the nightsister stronghold.
