Never to be one to be stubborn enough not beleive others until trying again I went back to the Spiderclan cave toget to the Queen. Aggro happened at exactly the same points without maskscent breaking, first it was by the two bloodlings inside the main door. The second time is the entrance to the main chamber with the spider and the two webweavers and the final one is just as you get within range of the queen.

So i have to ask folks have you genuinely gotten down there with maskscent without so much as a scratch because from what I can see it's **edit** near impossible because of the automatic triggers that utterly ignore maskscent.

i have gone down there more than a few times solo....although i never really tried to mask all the way down. I sample what i can, if something attacks me....i kick its butt ( I am a TKM). As far as the queen....i have tried about 6-7 times to sample her,never got a sample though....not sure what lvl it even is. She is tough to beat, but with good buffs, my 75% kinetic unbese and 210 dmg knuckles....she goes down eventaully. Only thing i hate is she kites you to about 7m, right out of range for me .....so end up running all over the place trying to land KD's and hits. Furthest i have made it down without drawing aggo masked was about 1/3 of the way. I just have exp 4 and a +15 mask shirt/pants.

you can't solo that place as a TKM, I am one and I brought two others TKM,you might easily have taking down most of the spiderclan but not that big HAM, high resist guy. But then again it's easy to lure all the npcs out into the wild

Dang the force.

Only probably answer would be to send the pet down to the Queen and try to lure her and her spider buddies. Could work could not, I haven't used a pet in a long while.

last time i saw the queen down in this cave (before last big creature update) it had lvl 40, energy/kinetic/blast resist of 60 and most other resists at 45.. but thats all changed now ^^

I have gotten down solo plenty of times (must have collected 50+ samples over the past month or so with some very nice creatures to show for it) but I wouldnt say without a scratch.

I can mask scent (+70 with further+25 from clothes)all the way downpast the first 'lesser' queen chamber to the bit with one spider and two NPCs. Its auto aggro at this time. As soon as this happens, I burst rundown to the queen chamber and spam peace. Sometimes you make it, sometimes you dont, sometimessomething will deathblow you, other times they wont. It can get frustrating at times travelling from the outpost to the cave butkeep at it and you will get some very cool DNA.

I have seen one other person get down to the queen, butshe is a TKA/BE and can easily take out most of the stuff in the cave if it attacks (or at least survive and escape to try again).

Yeah I'm talking about going down without throwing a punch or firing a shot. As in sneaking all the way down, I can do it on alot of caves but it looks like there's triggers in that spidercave which means you can't help but draw aggro. That's a bit of a pain considering how maskscent already has limited useage so it should allow you to go down through those caves as well.

just my 2 cents

Tryed this in the squill caves also and mask sent does not break but, I am attacked.The squills are like NPC's not creatures I belive the same applys to the spider clan cave.

You can't maskscent past the Nightisters, they're NPCs, not creatures.

Also, yes, there are definitely triggers in the cave, especially around the Queen.

The NPCS leave me alone cause I have good faction with them. It's the **edit** spiders which are drawn to me, the only time the sisters attack is when a spider aggro's to me and they see it.

Hiya,

Yes I have done it and I have posted this elsewhere , HOWEVER, hehehe it was when I had Master Ranger and I Cammo'd up and had +21MS/+22Cam bonus clothes.

When Cammo drops I sit still and mash the Cammo button.

The only attacks/incap's were while I was Sampling the Queen.

No luck here. Every time I've been there, there has been a Nightsister Elder in the cave and she's wiped the floor with my skull. Screw krayt dragons, these bad mamas make them look friendly!

The new nightsister elders are harsh, 300k ham takes a long long long time to wear down and they still drop the same crap loot they always did.

I think rangers can apply camo to other people, I'm not sure how long it lasts or if its even very effective. But that seems like the best bet if you are intent on sneaking down.

I have tried to go solo but no luck..I have went with my Guildys though and did manage to get three samples off of the two queens down there. It made a very nice cl 52..But since then I havent had any luck thanks to morons that like charging in there not knowing what the heck your group is doing. All they want is loot heh.
