Thread: CL10 Pets in one combine with 3k+ ham, kin and energy resists

I'm sure there are other ways to do this, but with some help from Mattakar and Tal-N's posts, I've come up with a simple combination of critters to make a pet with nice ham, some kinetic, and also energy resists. It may not make a huge difference, but I'm sure some people don't like to have a pet that's vul to energy.

I used a combination of gronda/gronda/huurtonpup/huurtonpup/huurtonpup, maxed out the physique and mental and left it at that. Do not experiment in action at all. You do and you get CL11, guaranteed as far as I can tell. You should end up with CL10, around 3k-3.5k ham or possibly higher, about 13kin and 10energy, and sometimes the Knockdown special from the gronda. And though that may not work now, hopefully they'll fix it and then your pet will already have it.

Also, you can probably use some other trash instead of huurton pups, but I didn't want to mess with a good thing. -giggles- I'm afraid of breaking it.

That's nice, but I really like the ranged attack from the voritor dasher dna when it sticks.

Grondas, grondas... I remember sampling from those, but don't remember the planet. Guess I'll have to look that back up just to do compare and contrast.

Is that 3k HAM evenly across the board, or just health? Out of curiosity.

You can get them on destroy missions in the high 20s. I do missions out of Kor Vella but I suspect you can get them in other towns on Corellia. They usually have 2 out per spawn and 6 in a lair total (including any babies). Grondas aren't aggro but war grondas are.

There's one dna combo I've been dying to try, but I just can't find the dna I need

/cry

In looking at the dna stats on www.swgcreatures.com I'm thinking that thune dna may be ideally suited for non-CH pets. The reason is that it is the right CL (26) and has a much higher hardiness/fortitude ratio then voritor dasher which means it may yield higher heath at lower CL. Anyhow, if I can ever find the blasted things I'm dying to give it a try. It may have too many resists, and not enough vulnerabilities, but perhaps something like

thune - voritor dasher - pup - pup - pup

or

thune - pup - pup - dasher - pup

or similar would work nicely. I dunno, just a thought. Where in god's name is a herd of thunes when you need one? lol

I've seen thunes on Dant and taken a few missions for them. Most often I saw them when I had piket missions.

The ham ends up more like 3k-3.5k/1.5k/1.5k, or thereabouts. Can't push the action any higher or it will turn out to be CL11, unfortunately. >_<

And the thune seems like it has too many resists. I could be wrong, but anything I tried with that many resists pushed the CL to 13 or 14 or so. :/
