Currently, I'm at Sampling 3 and i am having failure after failure trying to sample creatures with Armor1. Is there a cap on what i can sample at sampling 3 or do i just need to try a whole lot and expect a bunch of failures?

No cap, as far as I know, but you are far less likely to be able to sample higher level creatures at sample 3. Basically, stick to low level things until you get to sample 4, and then mid level things until MBE.

Hey, sorry if this has been addressed before, but I had a sampling question. My friend just got Master BE and we went out on Dathomir to get some HQ DNA samples. I noticed alot of good recipes had mutant rancor DNA ect, but when he tried many attempts to sample without one success.

I was wondering if 1) it is still possible to sample from these creatures, 2) does the success rate depend on CH lvl. and 3) what is the max lvl that you can sample from?

any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

Yes it is still possible, but VERY difficult. The Highest CL that you can sample from is CL 75. In no way does your CH level affect the outcome. Search these forums for some great tips on sampling these monsters.

Hey all,

Another kinda odd question here....

Does sampling get any easier from creatures later in the game? For example, when I sample now - from low creatures - I can succeed quite well. The problem is when I went to dantooine, and started trying to sample from pickets and vortrars (Probably spelling these wrong, sorry). With pickets, I maybe succeed about 1/30 times, with them agroing on me after 6 or so failures. The vortrars I never got a sample, after 1 hour of working..no sample.

I'm a 0/2/1/4 BE right now.

Will sampling every become more safe/easy? Right now, if I didn't have a large amount of TK skills left, I would have died out there trying to get these samples (wookies don't last long). I hope this gets better sometime :-/

Can someone please respond on what stuff is good for leveling the sampling tree, and possibly when things will get easier to sample. Maybe there are some tips on sampling (read the FAQ, I have mask scent on all the time).

Make sure you max out on maskscent. Also, at sampling I skill level, those creatures are a bit much for you. I had better luck on Naboo with Belle Bols at that level. Yes it does get easier as your skills get better.

Maybe sometime before going to get some new samples, I'll make some mask scent attachments, and have a friend make some scent reducing clothing. Maybe that will help a lot.
