Thread: Are BE's dying out?

As a Tailor it seems next to impossible to find any BE's who have regularly stocked vendors. Just curious if people are leaving the profession, or if this is just on the Ahazi server, orif it's justmy imagination.
I'm to the point where I think I'm gonna have to grind BE just so I can make a few crates of tissues. Are there any of you who feel the same way about Tailors or Chefs? Are you having similar problems finding suppliers or buyers?

I keep stocking my vendor, but it keeps selling out

)I'm working on getting the bits for Pet Stims at the moment, but after that I'll be doing a few runs of Tailor tissues, so if you still need some in a week or so check the WP.

As things currently are, BE's have a full plate. Three professions rely on us heavily, and all these different avenues are very time consuming. If I were to supply a single tailor with a complete usable set of tissue crates, it would probably take about a week and a half of resource gathering and travelling, even if I made no creatures or food additives. Personally, I hide from the search function and also do not display my title, because I just don't have time for all those customers. I figure I can supply one active tailor or chef, and make a pet here and there. Since I know a Tailor, I'm hiding out from the rest.

As Cephalo said, it simply takes too much time and effort collecting materials and turning them into crates to dedicate time to a tailor or chef.
However I'm sure that if you were to send a /tell to most BEs' and ask nicely "if I supply the resources and pay you a decent number of creds, could you make me a schematic, pretty please?" I know I'd be happy to make you a schematic of 1000 uses for hmmm maybe 10k.. thats 100cr pet tissue.. nothing compared to the extra profit you'd make on the clothing.

oop, trouble is I'm not yet master.. only 3,2,4,3 ... but still it would give novice tailors/chefs a decent chance to enhance their products. Obviously due to my lower skill lvl 10k is too high for the schematic, but 5k sounds good. Just send a tell to svopo.
Same goes for pet stims etc,.

Thank God your not on my server.
Schematics go for 1.3 mill for a run of 1000, based on the fact the they sell brandy for 250k a crate make 10mill off of one schematic.

Hey Topp,
Most of my factory time is spent running Chef Bio-Enhancements for food. I'll do runs of a crate or two of Tailor tissues as requested, usually completing an order ina day or two. I ask folks that send me tells to send me an e-mail with their exact order so they can que up in my mailbox. But all my orders come from referrals as I've taken myself off /search to reduce /tell traffic.
And I personally don't run off schematics for non-PA members. Luck!

Thanks for all the info guys. The length of time it takes to make them definately would have me in hiding too. Seems a little out of wack if you ask me. BE's should be able to ranch animals for the meat & maybe have a new building type that is sort of a slaughterhouse/rendering plant, hehe. Put your animals in the hopper & watch em spit out cans of Spam on the other end.
Well, at least i know the situation a little better & will try contacting a few of you who are on Ahazi for a few crates.

You used to be able to harvest BE pets for meat/hide/bone. Do now know why they took that ability out.
