I created a macro /sample dna.

Pet stims are available as you move up the tissue line. you will find them in your food and chem crafting tool. I couldn't make them using a public crafting station. I had to use the one I have at home. I don't know if that has changed or not.

I know you don't get Pet Stim B until you have Tissue II. I forget if you get Pet Stim A at Novice or with Tissue I. Anyway, you definately need a Food & Chem crafting tool, and some items won't show up in your schematic list unless you're standing next to a Food & Chem crafting station.

My advice would be to get a droid with a built in Food & Chem crafting station. I hooked up with a DE and kept him supplied with some key minerals while he was working his way up. He built one for me when he was finally able to. Best investment I ever made. I can set up camp, call it and craft anything I need in the field.

When making pets and/or bio tissues, does the quality of the components make a difference? If so, what do I need to look for in meat/grain/etc.? Also, does the TYPE of meat (herbivore, carnivore, wild, etc) or grain (rice, corn, wheat, etc) matter? Thanks!

Come on guys, please help me out. I see tons of posts about DNA, but VERY little about resource quality. Thanks!

For pets, only quality of the DNA samples determines stats of the pet. You can use low quality meat & floral when making the final combine and this won't affect the creature's final stats in any way. This was officially stated by the devs.

For tissues, the quality of components remains important. For pet medicines, in addition to Overall Quality, high Potential Energy and Unit Toughness is preferred. On tissue components for tailors and chefs, Overall Quality, Flavor, and Potential Energy are equally important.

The specific meat/floral types aren't as important in the beginning, as long as the stats I mentioned above are to your liking, plus, qualities of meat and floral change periodically anyways. You may prefer to use a particular herbivore meat as your organic resource when crafting your pet stim As, but after a period of time, the herbivore meat you liked will disappear and be replaced with a different quality herbivore meat, possibly far lower in quality. As you get higher on the tissue line, however, the schematics will start being very specific. Pet Stimpack C for example requires Dathomirian Insect Meat for the organic component. Higher level tissues may not ask for resources specifically from a particular planet, but still require the use of ONLY carnivore meat, ONLY scaley hide, etc.

Hi guys, I'm new to BE and had a question or 2.

1) What kind of crafting station do you use to run experiments on pets? (thought it would be food and chemical, but I didn't get the option.)

2) If it is in fact Food and Chem, do I have to have a certain lvl in cloning before I can experiment? (I'm currently novice)

I'm sure this is probably in a post already so I apologize for asking here, but I'm at work and internet time is kinda scarce, if ya know what I'm saying. I do appreciate all answers. Thanks a lot guys.

1) Chem station and chem tool

2) You get one experiment point at Novice, which isn't much so you didn't really miss anything. It's a 40% risk of failing.

Just to make sure its clear, dunno how much you know... but Creatures themselves don't allow for experimentation. Only the DNA templates do.
