oh please. 5% you can't deal with 5%, and espically now that it is modified by your skill base?!?

just understand the dice rolls. it IS possible that one day you could have every single crafting attempt come up a critical failure. highly improbable, but not impossible.

stop complaining about critical failures, yes they suck when they happen, especially when you are combining those 5 v.high quality samples that will make something truly sweet, and it criticals. you know what though that's the way it is. if it is honestly that bad, then i think you hit the nail on the head and you should quit. personally if they make the crafting any easier i think i would quit. i was actually very happy to see they finally got around to fixing the bug that let BEs get away with risk-free crafting (don't get me wrong, i don't cheer when i get a critical, but i know it is just part of the game and therefor expect it to happen). if they were going to make a chang to it i would say that they should still grant xp for critical failures. even in failure you learn something. however, to my mind your "arrrgh! critical failures aren't fair, remove them!"argument sounds a whole lot like "arrrgh! i keep missing my target with my laser rifle when i'm burst running and blinded, remove movement/weapon/skill/range accuracy modifiers!"

I, personally, do not consider critical failures to be the same as "game content." It is like comparing the great rush of adrenalin you get on a roller coaster ride,to the bad rush of adrenalin you get on seeinga childfall off of a cliff. Those who try to justify critical failures are just in denial about the fact that there is no true game content for crafters. I have three crafting accounts, and up to the point where I quit this game in total disgust, I have and will really enjoy doing crafting. But critical failures are, genuinely andtruly, a stupid idea in this game.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

I don't even want to describe my experience in the field tonight, this is not fun, it is NERVE RACKING! I lost over four hours of work to 6 crit failures.

Not only is the stuff my bio account is hunting difficult.. gah i'm so frustrated I can barely think to type here. Something needs to be done about this or I quit, period.

Agreed also Tal-N

I'd like to know why Pet stim B's from Tissue II carry a 3% experimental rate per point yet Micronutrient Supplements from Tissue I carry an 18% rate per point?

I don't mind the occasional Crit Failure, I've lost some very nice samples samples that way, but A LOT of people, at least Bio Engineers (Not sure on other Professions), get 5+ Failures in a row. Thats not normal, and you can't say it's Improbable, because a lot of us have it happen. I think they should give me 1 billion credits and let me have Endor.

The problem isn't critical failures it's the loss of the dna. Frankly if they remove critical failures then you also need to remove the excellent success as both are at the ends of the scale. No critical failure means you need to balance that with no critical success either.
