At what level would you expect to start getting better than 'above average' quality DNA. I'm 1/0/3/3 NE and havn't got a single one. I can sample Voritors, Maulers, Pikets etc. but havn't got a single sample at higher than above average. Get a LOT at above average though but with my current skills I seem to be stuck at CL24-25 max pet's which I'm a little surprised by (as the net result using the above DNA and all 5 points of experimentation).

Thats a good question, a while back I recall being able to get real good samples at about a sampling level of 3.

But now with the pseudo caps being placed to limit people for some crazy reason...not sure why since no one could control something of a super high level anywise....

I have to say i am not sure.

But at a level of 2 You should get good quality and at 3 to 4 you should start getting better stuff.

The best quality things I think you can only get with a Master Rank.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

That is what I remember experiencing also.

Isn't it based on the fact that at each Sampling level, the highest possible attainable sample quality become available? For example, I never saw Average quality samples till I hit Sampling 1 and I never saw Above average samples until I hit Sampling 2. Now I've just got Sampling 3, I would expect to get the "odd" HQ sample, but more often than not they will be Above average/Average, with the odd below average thrown in for good measure.

Yep this is what I expected. But I'm halfway to Sampling 4 wihtout a single sample at higher than above average.

Same here I have just got sampling 4 and still have not seen 1 HQ sample. But on the other hand I have gotten all AA samples for hours at a time, with not one average sample.

Go figure!!!!!

Strikes me we may have found a bug....

Mmmmmmm Interesting way of possibly explaining it only I've had above average (in increasing numbers) since Sampling 1.

I am at sampling 2 and i quite often get Above Average dna samples. Not sure if this helps but it does happen.

On a related topic, is there a list anywhere of what lvl of creature you can expect to even get samples from at what level of DNA sampling? ie. what's the max level mob I could get a sample from at DNA Sampling 1, with no +stat clothing.

I think this has changed quite recently (within the last week or so).

I'm a Master BE - out of 20 Merek Harvester samples none were VHQ - mostly HQ. DMA's gavesome VHQ, 'easy' samples give mostly VHQ.

Looks like the quality of DNA is now heavily based on what you are sampling (whereas before it was solely down to your level).

Doncha just love 'stealth nerfs'?
