Hey All,
I'm a Novice BE on Ahazi. I was wondering about Master BE. I heard the pets you make are nothing until master. Should I grind o get there? Also, what order should I learn the columns?

Thats nonsense, pets are as powerful as their CL allows them to be and you'll often find people asking for CL10-30 clones which folks can make well before they reach master. If your gonna grind then don't look to me for advice cause I don't like people who play professions simply to master them as fast as possible and not bother to learn the trade.

If the current system was in place when I was working on BE, I dont think I would have done any grinding. I would have finished off DNA sampling first, then enjoyed my way up the crafting trees making clones. Its actually a good time to be a Novice BE. Its one of the few crafting profs (if not the only) that IS worth anything at sub-Master levels. Enjoy.

The path (not the grind) should be horizontal instead of vertical. I've never understood why people take the engineering branch of the BE tree last. You can make high level animals but with only 3 experiment points they will never compare to what someone else could make. This also applies to the tissues you'll be able to make. Who cares if you can make pet stim C's when they don't heal much.
Get those experiment points as early as possible.

Thanks for the info. Did NOT want to grind. I ground to get Novice BE (stupid Organiic Chem) and it was not fun at all. Also, hehe, how accurately can you make the CL of a pet?

lol, as we all know that is much easier said then done. I'm all for the leisurely approach, I enjoyed my novice days and with the new system I think novice pets are more viable then ever. It took me 2 months from novice to master, but unless they changed the xp's given for making pets, no matter how leisurely your way to the top, I wager you're still going to be making plenty of MNS' in between making pets. You simply can't make THAT many pets and expect to get to master, unless they changed that in the last patch.

OK Arthur...maybe a little MNS grinding
But compared to the ZERO clones I made on my way to Master BE due to several of them being bugged and having a data pad full of wild pets that were much better than anything I could whip up...
I would've made alot more clones on the way up with this system thats for sure.

I say truly truly take your time with this profession. I am a 1021 BE atm and i am having a blast. My current thing to do is get samples from greater sludge panthers in the lost city on talus. Talk about crawling into the lions den hehehe. But seriously as my current lvl im making and selling more dewbacks as mounts than i really care to make lol.
