Thread: Tissue results to expect with box 4 in Engineering techniques?

Just wanted to toss a question out there....

I'm starting to get people asking for clothing tissues, did some experimenting on theinitial myoflex and passive bio's and maxed out at +7's using what I could scrounge up off the bazaar. The resources were all decent to good, but not great.

Was wondering what I should reasonably expect as a max with top quality resources while still at box 4 in engineering (still have a bit of grinding to do before master). Am planning on hunting around for better resources to test myself, but would like a general idea of what to expect if anyone has any info.

Thanks,

I've been at box 4 experimentation a while, and have worked my way up the tissues tree and am now headed for master. For the "basic" tissues, they seem to max out at +7, never gotten better than that. For the advanced tissues, I've gotten +15 as my best. Masters seem to be able to get a couple points higher.

I just got to box 4 of techniques and my tissues (the lower level ones from tissues 1 and 2) are around +7 at best. Ideally +10 should be achievable but I've heard the 'wood' requirment makes it impossible.Ive also heard that quality of material doesnt matter much, hence u got +7 with mid-grade stuff. To answer your question, most likely +8 maybe +9. I'm sure the higher level tissues start at 10 or so. Even at techniques 4 all my low level tissues, with good material, start at +2 and I have to experiment it up from there.

Hmmm...don't want to waste any of my stockpiled eggs until i get to master. Guess I'll finish grinding out box 4 of tissues and try the active bio-sensors to see what I can do there (bio's and myoflex are the only things I've been asked for to date)

As a Master BE, I routinely crank out +14/+15 tissue. The hardest part is finding the good resources. The key here is the cap, which is +25. Therefore, anyone wanting the cap is going to have to use 2 tissue anyway, so the ideal is +13 for each tissue.

The highest i've gotten on any of the advanced tissues is +18. I think the last one i got to +18 was 91% experimented. 19 maybe 20 would have to be the cap for any one tissue, but you'd need 4 perfect resources for that, and that isn't going to happen anytime soon

Yea, I, like many others have come to the conclusion that squeezing out an extra point here or there is pretty meaningless when it comes to tissues. You need big stacks to make crates, tailors will chew through a crate a lot faster than you can get the materials together to make another, and from the tailor side of things extremely few customers will turn their noses up at a +13 cloth and insist on a +15 one, particularly when they are buying 2 or 3 clothing item with the same bonus in them (like they generally are). I wouldn't spend too many cycles worrying about this to be honest.
