I was complaining to my Master CH friend last night about the lack of cloning changes and in the course of our conversation he enlightened me on the clone/CH mind set.

Simply put, CH's will not buy an animal that they can find and tame in the wild. There are3 reasons for this, the 1st being money.

The cost of tickets and cloning is cheaper than what I would chargefor any animal I currently make.

The 2nd is that our clones are not significantly better or different than wild.

The 3rd and probably most important, taming is what they do. It is how they play the game, part of the excitement and accomplishment.

Under the current cloning system we can not make animals that are much different than wild (other than worse). If we could make something as simple as a color change we would see a drastic increase in sales.

One of our main problems is we have only ONE market for clones, CH, and the devs have killed this market for us. With the current cloning system there should notbe any babys in the wild for any animal we make.If the devs had treated us as they have any other crafting class the CH would only be able to use BE pets and there would be NO babys in the wild.

We are the crafter of CH weapons and armor, yet our products can be acquired from an NPC-like source for free.

I agree with the majority of what you say. My character is both a BE and a CH. I don't use my own animals basically because taming wild animals is a challenge and its fun. I've run across wild babies and tried to tame them just to see if I can actually do it. The animals I use most often in combat are a flying reptilian and a greater desert womp rat. They aren't so high a CL that I don't get xp when I use them but they are substantial enough to tank when I need them to.

Creature handlers only look to me for pet medicines or taming vicious critter tissues.
