Thread: Secondary / dual master professions in addition to BE
I would still like to be a wanted member of a hunting party, and as a doc/BE I could give buffs, rez, and heal, however I would have pretty much no way to defend myself (unless I could still use a non CH pet, prefer one I made).
Some of my concerns are, would I be able to sustain my bank account (I'm not talking about getting rich, more like covering travel, housing, crafting costs), and still be able to afford to craft and participate in hunting groups.
Setting up shop and having vendors and filling orders is not my primary objective, and really doesn't appeal to me. I do enjoy crafting however. I would rather fill orders via email / tell, than have a vendor in my house.
Does this sound doable or really flawed?
I'm looking for a Profession combo that isn't totally popular as well, which is one of the reasons I'm dropping CH.

Well, the general ways you can go from BE are BE/Doc, to make good stims; BE/Ranger Wayfarer to be able to sneak up on just about anything and sample from it, except that you can't sample off kimogila anymore no matter what...though you could go BE/Ranger Hunt Master and be able to harvest good amounts of meat off kills; and BE/Tailor, to be able to make enhanced clothing. I suppose, ifthe poor sods are ever fixed someday, you could do BE/Chef to do kickin' food...if it ever works.
I know there was one guy who was a Smuggler/BE, and he was able to get around the whole dying while sampling DNA by using Feign Death. Sounds good to me, but I don't think you'd have points for anything else. I think with the others you could havea minimal combat skill, or if you forego that, Surveying.
I enjoy my template of Master BE / Master CH / Pistoleer (0/0/3/1).
I can use my own products. I can solo incredibly well. I can harvest a meaningful amount of meat/hides/bone in one night (though it is never enough... never ever enough.. even buying tons at 10credits a unit.. it is never enough, but it helps). I fit into a group really well with my pets.
The shortcomings of my template I make up with my second account. I run vendors and do my surveying off of the second account. I rely on PA Master Doctors for my medical component schematics.

IMHO, a Master Doc/Master Be would be a very welcomed addition to any hunting party.

Also, IMHO, a Master Doc/Master Be could be a VERY rich person because you would be able to craft everything you need to make the highest quality pet stims/vitality packs.

That is pretty much identical to what I have now. I do fit in pretty well in hunting parties, but I have the desire to be *really* good at a couple things rather than "ok" at many. I dunno, it's the indecison more than anything . . . that and I keep changing professions

I never even thought of being a ranger too, need to think more about that. I considered a tailor or a chef, still thinking about it, however being a doctor apeals to me more.
I also have a second account for my vendors and harvesters. My biggest problem with harvesters is that I am also the owner of our PA hall which takes up 9 slots
I rely on our PA Doc to provide advanced medical components and other resources.
I went BE/SMUGGLER it works well and when u get to master in smuggler u are able to hold your own in combat+ smugglers can make good money.
I'm master BE, master TKA, 4,0,4,0 scout and 3,2,3,4 medic. Like a couple of the others I'm running a second account for vendors and surveying. My husband hasa master Doctor, so he makes the stimsub components for me.
The bot account is also master musician for the yummy mind buffs. With her buffs and my powerboost, I can DNA sample non-stop for about 10 minutes without spices.
