I'm am not a bioengineer, I'm simply a customer. I have been browsing people's vendors to find a nice simple non-ch pet for myself. When I look at all the pets for sale it kinda confuses me.

When it says what level the pet is while it's on the vendor like say level 12...does that mean it is level 12 right now or does it mean that it will be level 12 after you train it and it grows up? I don't know what pet to buy since I don't know if I could only use it for a few days and then it will outgrow me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

When I list a CL 12 pet, it means it's CL 12 fully grown. I would guess the other BEs do the same thing. Listing the CL in the name simply makes it easier to determine which of the listed pets you can use.

So yes, the assumption, is that the level 12 means, that after the pet is tamed, and all growns up, it will be a level 12. Therefore, a level 12 pet will not be calable by a non creature handler.

Thank you for your reply. I should have been a little more specific in what number I was looking at. The creature level I was referring to is listed as "Difficulty Level" under the serial number when you examine the pet on a vendor. I have seen some pets where the creator put the level in the name of the pet, but these numbers are listed in its stats ...? So if it is as you say then I assume that it will be level 12 when grown up and maxed out if it says "difficulty level 12".

The difficulty level listed, will be the CL of the grown pet. As its probably still a pet deed, you will need to find a creature handler that will tame it and train it for you. ANd if you want a mount, they will have to wait for the creature to be at leats half its final level before it can be trained as a mount.
