When I read it on the chef revamp post, I did a serious LMAO in real life. I will never understand these devs. This is why I still say as long as this system is in place in regards to organic materials besides flora, the tissue line will always be a complete and utter joke. I dont care what they do to it.

You have to be mask scented and then "milk" the animal from a radial menu which gives about 20 units. LOL It just keeps getting better and better. SO if I wanna do a factory run of a crate of 50 of some chef additive, im gonna have to be out in the wild like Im dna sampling except im getting milk. Can it get anymore boring then this? How could they think this is fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??!!!!!!!!! Im losing patience. After like 6 hours of milking, i might have enouph milk to run a factory crate. I cannot believe this is their fix to milk. Anybody know what getting fish is gonna be yet?

They just refuse to make it where the BE's can have a easy time getting materials to make stuff in any kind of quantity.

This is right up there with searching lairs for eggs, just not as harsh. Cannot wait to hear their fix for fish, this is really gonna be a doozy. I continue to be amazed by the devs when it comes to this. I've been playing a BE for 7 months now and still cannot make half the crap in my schematics due to these ridicoulous meat costs. Im not talking about price either, im talking about getting 100,000's ofmeat ( of the sametype)I need to run some long factory runs.

They will continue to think that this whole system of rangers and scouts is awesome way of getting meat and they will continue to think its cool to be out "milking bols" for 6 hours to get a good factory run. Just gotta lauph anymore, they just cant come up with real fixes to real problems. Just band aids that never work and have to be revamped over and over again.

I play a merchant too, recently they talked about reducing merchants ability to list no more then 150 items due to database storage, yet they have no problems with the 5,000,000 types of meat on the server in 100 to 500 stacks. I give up...

I hate to say this but i think this works, i don't think Bio-Engineered creatures should come by the crate, they should be far more unqiue. Whats the fun in letting a factory do it? Go hands on, make bio-engineered ones more unqiue, make em' more exclusive and rare. Don't care about the money, you can get enough of that joining a hunting party.

Although i do agree the new milking system sounds lame. What they should do is introduce factories or farms that you pump animals in and get milk / meat out. Maybe deeds for Dairy farms... are you listening Devs?!

Just out of interest.

How else are you proposing to get milk ?

Milk in the real world does come from Cows, creatures etc.

It doesnt magically apear in the suppermarket, as a gift from the gods.

Though I know some people may think it does.

I suppose this is where if they had included the farmer proffesion, there would have been a large amount of this type of resource made available.

Considering how rare milk was before though, I cant honestly say that I see where your problem is.

FYI, 20 is the low end, I've generally gotten 20-50 doing this.

Ever heard of soy milk? Last time I heard milk does indeed grow on trees...sort of anyway.

I think a "Farm" structure would be the best way to get eggs and meat. This could be a made by architects using BE components (the BE makes "cows" or "chickens" to put inthe farm.) This would generate milk or eggs over time, the quality based on the BE components and would require periodic component replacement. Maybe fish farms too that have to be place next to water.

1) Harvesting Milk is a lot better then paying 100 -1000cr/unit from campers. Ever think that maybe they might not want people to make factory runs of 1000 of these schematics? Wait maybe we want every CH to have +25 Taming.

2) How about we just drop hundreds of thousands of units of milk right on your doorstem, that way there'll be no challenge and you can be the uberest 1337 achiever in the game. Would that make you happy?

3) I have never made a factory run (Remember 1000 is the max) that cost me 100k units of meat. I can go out on a hunt for 2 or 3 hours with a bunch of my guild mates and make a good 20k meat which is allI need to make a factory run.

4) The 150 item cap is only for people who have vendors at business III.

I think the "milking wild beasts" idea is rediculous, but still better than not having any milk at all. I mean this is Star Wars, we should not be out milking beasts like we are lowly farm boys in the 1600s. I mean why are we using milk anyway? Shouldn't it be something synthetic or bioengineered in a lab from something more common like hide, bone, or something else organic? There should be some kind of BE Industrial Machine that we place organics in, with power, and maintence and then run for a while to create the components we then use for our products. That sounds more like a space age society to me.

I am thankful that the issue of Milk abundance was adressed at all, but I think that the devs keep thinking in terms of EQ and other medieval fantasy games and not Star Wars. Just my opinion.
