I really should know the answer to this by now but im easily confused 
. Is the max that works +25 per item or +25 in total over all your items ?? Im wearing 3 bits of clothes with +15 MScent , Am i only getting +25 bonus despite what my skills say?? . thanks

Yes, despite what it may also say in your skill mods also, +25 is the highest bonus you'll get, even if you wear three +15 items. +25 is also the highest mod total you can get into a single piece of clothing.

+25 max bonus per skill. So the max bonus you can get for maskscent is +25 whether it is all in one shirt or in 5 pieces.
