Thread: BECalc 1.3 now available
- Added a new icon.
- Fixed an issue with the resist tab order. Tabbing through resists now follows
the same order as in game.
- Fixed a display error in the print out when Attack Speed would sometimes
display as a floating point number.
- Fixed reversed calculation on attack speed.
- Added scaling for HAM price.
- Added scaling for Resist price.
- Added "Cool Factor" checkbox.
- Hitting the "Calc Cost" button now resets the Output window.
- Other general "under the hood" changes to tidy the code up.
- Added scaling for "Attack Speed".
- Added scaling for "Damage".
- Fixed a bug in the Attack Speed code.
- Changed the HAM options so they work off a 1/10th scale (Under where it
says "x/10 credits per HAM point", a 1 means .1, for "1" credit you need
to have "10 listed. With the default .INI the values are: .4, .6, .8, 1,
1.2 and 1.4 credits. This has made BECalc much more flexible).
- Fixed a bug where the HAM settings were not being read properly.
- Changed the .INI settings to more realistic (IMO) values. They may not suit
you, so if you tweak up a set yourself, post the contents of the .INI to the
SWG forums, I'm sure others would like them too.
than 2.00
- Split HAM into separate pool checks(Optional).
- Added scaling for each HAM pool (Optional).
- Fixed "Cool Factor" option not saving.
- Added "Vuln" as base for resists, not "0".
- General cleanups.
Cool little program.
I downloaded thinking you enter the stats you want and it tells you how to make it...lol
However still useful ![]()

Pressed "calc" button and WHAM! "'1.00' is not a valid floating point value"
Running Win xp english version patched up with every possible patch.
Oh well.. Ill wait for the hotfix
Looks sweet anyway
I think it has to do with the HAM calc.. What do u think?
Did you overwrite the INI when you installed the new version?
The old INI is incompatible and may be whats causing the problem. Try renaming or deleting the current directory and extractthe archiveto a new directory.
I ran the figures you gave andmine gave me the following without error:
CL 17 = 0
Total resists = 5295
Armor bonus = 0
Ranged bonus = 0
H: [email protected] A: [email protected] M: [email protected] for total= 2946
Damage 110 at 25 per point = 2750
To Hit is 0.01 at 125 per point = 125
Attack speed is 3.00 at 50 per point = 0
Special Attack 1 is None : 0
Special Attack 2 is None : 0
TOTAL PRICE: 11114

That's adjustable based on creature level (in the "HAM and CL" options, though I forgot to remove the "=0" when there is no figure calculated for it.
I'll add removing the "=0" when thats not taken as part of the calculation it to the "ToDo".
Thanks for the feedback
)

Very nice program indeed. I will of course have to tweak it for my pricing needs I really don't like the fact your's adds 0 creds for the CL of the product..Still nice just needs some adjustments for me..
Hmm....0.40 would be the "To Hit" value. I downloaded it from the home page just to make sure I hadn't uploaded a dud when I updatedand I couldn't get it to reproduce that error here, so the install from the web is Ok.
All I can suggest is to delete the old directory andtry a clean install.
If it still happens, zip the directory up, send me a PM and I'll give you my email so you can send it to me.

Unchecked the "Calculate the HAM pools seperatly" and now the errormsg is "'0.40 is not a valid floating point value."

The current INI contents should be like this (the blank line is important, so don't remove it
)) and make sure it's version 1.3:

first time i ran this prog. just to make sure i renamed the ini to .bak and regenerated the ini file but it solved nothing.
help me obi-wan meroc... your my only hope
Example:
1.00 = 1,00
I see a combo that has the value "1,00" as default but in the drop down list i see it as "1.00"
Should have thought of it when i got the first errormsg but my mind is still home in bed.
