Thread: Making CL 10 pets in one craft with 3000+ health

I've seen a lot of advice that the way to drop levels is successive generations of good creatures in Physical Prowess Agression and weak in Mental Psychology. You can hit CL 10 this way, but there is an easier way

For this, you need two good samples, and 3 crap samples. The good samples should have Fortitude in the 250'ish range (or lower), Hardiness in the 450-550 range(600 might be ok if you are careful), Power up to 350, and the kinetic less than 25%, unless you have sample to stack a bunch of vulns up.

The crap samples are standard yard trash. Though to really lower abilities, it is hard to argue with the lowly Hurton pup, which frequently has 1's for some DNA stats. Lesser plains bols do OK, I often use those in the mental slot.

Good samples go into Physical and Psych. Put crap into the other three.

This works because your prowess is strongly influenced by physical DNA, and Mental from the Psych. You want a high Psych anyway typically. Without any good DNA in the aggression, you typically end up with 30-50 damage, which is nice and low. If you use VHQ DNA inthe Physical and Psych slots, you often get specials coming through on the clone.

Experiment on the Physical. The first one will knock the fortitude way up, say 85-95. You'll think "Whoa, can't do that again!". But you can. The fortitude typically maxes out on the first experimentation. The second one should get the hardiness to between 180-210. If you feel like your mental or prowess are low, you can take a chance on raising them. Note that if you get greedy, you will hit CL 12.

Your product should have CL 9 or 10, 3000-3500 health, about 1500 action, and about 2000 mind. Resists can vary a lot depending on what you use, and the quality of the DNA, but 10% kinetic is very achievable.

I've found voritor dashers and female pickets and anglers are great sources for good DNA on these.

This formula leaves a lot of room for experimenting, especially with vulns and specials. And you don't have to do a lot of resampling to achieve it.

I'll definitely give this a try out.

You have to watch out for high secondary resists, too. I would try to keep all resists below 25%, unless you are going to put a bunch of vulns on it.

I'm going to try this out with venom filled arachne and yard trash. I've had some success with VFA in the past but its a lot of work. I'd like to figure out an easier method. I've got high hopes for this.

I tried this out with two combos last night. Picket + huurton pup, and voritor dasher + huurton pup. The former resulted in a CL 12, and latter resulted in a CL 9. It's a nice easy way to make non-CH, thanks for posting this. The one drawback to the CL 9 critter that I made was that it had a little better damage (I think it was 50-60)and resists (lots of 10%'s)then doing it the "hard way", but also less HAM (a little under 3k but I maybe have been able to push it a little higher)and no specials (doh!)

I tried the combo, and **edit**, it results VERY nice. I used Lesser Bols as crap and tried with Plains Pikets (too hard, always CL12), voritor dasher (nicest of all). Tried with Brackasets too but always better results on voritors.

Oh! and only 2 points of experimentation on Physic.

5 star for ya!!!

Nice. this worked like a charm. Sometimes the special came through, other times not so much.

Mmm...No nerf foam smell yet...heh.

I'll give this a go with voritors and lesser plains bols.

Dashers do indeed work well with the pups...with LPB's, i kept hitting Lvl 11, which was a nuisance.

Though the inherited energy vul sucks vs. NPC's, if you manage to hit 100+ on the fortitude the Kinetic resist jumps up to 10%.

hey guys-

This recipe works great. Just a quick note though . Crafting in my city (a research facility) Im getting health between 4200-4500.

Thanks again for the great level 10 recipe.

10% vs vulnerability. Makes very little difference when there is no armor correct? Either way it's going to get torched by an energy weapon.
