Thread: need advice for making pets lower lvl

i seem to make very high lvl pets how can i go about getting them lower?

Don't use every experimentation point you have.
Look at the stats, and consider the formulas based on Hardiness, Dexterity and Intellect as far as how high they will make the HAM. Then look at the ferocity and power for the damage, and the cleverness for the speed of the attack.
Experimenting to what you need, not just the maximum you can, is the best way to learn. Breeding in creatures with lower stats and no vulnerabilities in the 3 and 4 slots to minimize lowering resists while bringing the other stats down measurably helps, as does resampling and making a second generation out of DNA from the first combine.
The most important and effective thing in making good pets at lower levels is practice. There is really no substitute for learning the ropes, though there is plenty of excellent information around to help get you pointed in the right direction. Read the FAQ, start to finish, and look at some of the recipe threads and experimentation threads here to get a good basis for how to proceed also.
