OK I know im not insane, i saw two or three posts with people speculating on what the most effective creature CLs were for a particular DNA skill, i.e.:
DNA 1 - CL 1-10
DNA 2 - CL 11-20
...
Could someone please post the linky to such a post? Im having a devil of a time with DNA sampling and would like to complete it ASAP. Thanks, and sorry for the board litter.

Since I wrote it, I'll repost it:
MBN - CL20
DNA 1 - CL30
DNA 2 - CL40
DNA 3 - CL50
DNA 4 - CL60
MBE - CL75
MBN - CL20
DNA 1 - CL30
DNA 2 - CL40
DNA 3 - CL50
DNA 4 - CL60
MBE - CL75

Is that the max CL we can extract DNA from (even though we kill the unfortunate creature)? or is that the CL where we get the most out of sampling? just to clarify.

It is speculated that you can sample any creature at any level, however, it is the CL levels that I've posted are the levels that you will be successful at 75% of the time. By the time you reach Master BE you can sample up to CL75 (capped) and you typically get around 5 (sometimes more) samples per MoB. Anyhow, I hope this helps and clarifies things for you.
