Thread: Question for Tailors and BE about pricing

My girlfriend and I have teamed up and we just started to produce BE Clothing on a fairly large scale. She is a master taylor at the moment and while I am no master BE, we can still make some decent clothes, like +12/+12.

We ran into an issue last night with pricing. What is the appropriate price to charge for stuff. Neither of us want to undercut the rest of the BE/Taylors on Radiant but I somehow feel less than ept to charge an arm and a leg since I am not a master BE... but the clothes I have seen without enhancements sometimes go for a lot.

So is there a good pricing guide for enhancement tissues??

I would think 1k or so a bonus, or maybe 500, but want to see what you all charge

I only craft when I get my hands on the best resources available, so my tissues are rather good.

I also don't like complex calculations, all my tissues are 3K a piece.

Even your master tissues with high bonuses made from uber resources and in a crate?

Take a look at what people sale master tailor clothes with master be enhancements for, its quite insane...

I am kinda pricing absed on what I have up already and what bonuses are most wanetd.

The cost is going to be dependant on your server economy. There is no set pricing scheme because of the different dynamics involved.

I sell high end tailor and chef tissues for 3K each. That allows me a profit and pays for my time and the resources involved....on my server. You should work closely with your tailor to define the value of your resources. I use value instead of cost. You can hunt and harvest your own resources but that does not negate the value those resources have. Work that value into your finished products, the value of the skill involved to make those products, and a profit for both of you. That should get you close to a selling price.

It sounds to me like what you're most interested in is what *tailors* are charging, not BE's. There's tons of pricing discussions about this very thing in the tailor forum, that will probably give you the info youneed. I would give you mine, but I realize that my pricing is lower than most, so probably not indicitive of the server's pricing at large.

MY Tailor is my g/f IRl, we play with each oethr, next to each other, so my price to her is irrelleevant

I disagree with this in part. Your price to her may be irrelevant to you and her but it should not be irrelevant when pricing your finished goods (clothing). Those BE tissues have a value. They don't cost your girlfriend anything but they do indeed have a value. The base value of her clothing plus the base value of your tissues should give you an idea what to charge your customers. Add a percentage for profit and you've answered your own questions.

I use 200 * bonus and that seems to be accepted well on Valcyn. I think the tailors use 1000 * bonus for the end product.

Thats more what I was looking for... I don't care as much what BE sale the tissues for but what tailors value them at in clothing. I have seen master tailor clothing priced at 30k a dress for stuff that isn't bioenhanced... and I dunno, but quality doesn't seem to make a difference when making stuff. Only quantity for tailor. It isn't like weaponsmith where to make a good weapon you have to stockpile good resources and wait for stuff to shift in.

Don't get me wrong tailors can charge what they want, it isn't a fun grind up to master... but you know what I mean. I am making a thread on the tailor forum for pricing debate too.

I've got a friend's tailor to play with and make use of the tissues I was grinding while making MBE. Initially I used (bonus + 1) * 250 for my pricing (on the final clothing) on the bazaar and it seems to sell well (some things went quick some had to be reposted but mostly everything sold). I've upped it for now to 300 instead of 250. When I buy it I usually play a bit over 1000 cr * bonus.
