Two comments. First, you're on the wrong galaxy.
Second, you will find few BE's to take on a pet like this for 2 mil, or 5 mil, or 20 mil.

IT IS POSSIBLE, but it is such a pain in the tail to make and they get offered as much for lesser pets all the time. You're asking a BE to beat their head against a wall continuously for the next 2 - 3 weeks, even knowing quite well what it takes to make one of these, and to deal with the fact that starting from these expectations you will no doubt be unhappy with their best results.

You may indeed have the best of intentions, and really want this level of creature. I have made several creatures quite similar to what you are asking for here, and I have a few still sitting on my vendor. The problem is that you will find most of the BEs in the game that make this level of pet do so because they themselves want to make the best they possibly can, and the offer of 2 million is more of a negative than a challenge to those that do. What they see is a CH that thinks of this as a commodity, with a premium price tag and bragging rights galore.

Finally, asking for the recipe and all of the details in creating the pet is a red flag that says "you are about to do the research and suffer all of the heartbreak for someone that is then going to take your results and duplicate them for their own profit. Whaever you have learned, worked to understand or skills you have built mean nothing, nor do you have any interest in what is done with this once you're done."

The sad part is, someone that doesn't begin to have any interest in BE, but who has holo-ground to master and likes dabbling now and then between base takedowns will probably do it. They'll never do it again, but not knowing what they are taking on, they will see the credit signs and think that it can't really be all that hard, if others can do it.

I wish you had gone looking for a master BE willing to take on a comission for a very high level pet. What you have done, good intentions or not, is cheapen the work that those who deal with all of the frustrations and still make the best creatures because they love that feeling that they get when the pet is their best and the customer sends them a tell a few days later that says "WOW, this is the greatest pet I have ever had!"

If you were on Chilastra, that is a challenge I might well have undertaken.

Valcyn suits me just fine. Lots of good people here.

You may be right, but I hope not.

I'm not "starting" at these expectations. I've bought a LOT of BE pets, and had long discussions with the makers of each one about what is/isn't possible. You are correct tho, I probably won't be satisfied with anything less than what I've described in my post. That doesn't mean that I won't buy the pet that you come to me with, it just means I won't empty my bank account to get it.

I'm glad that people are striving to make the best pet they can. Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of MBE's decide that making pets isn't worth it anymore, and have started exclusively making suppliments for chefs. I'm trying to let them know that there is still a market for high-end pets, that way they'll continue to try to make the best they can. And like it or not, BE pets are a commodity, with a price tag, just like every other crafted item in the game. Armorsmiths pride themselves on making the best armor they can, weaponsmiths pride themselves on making the best weapons they can, and architects pride themselves on making the best harvesters they can. This does not make any of their products any less of a commodity, nor does it make your pets a non-commodity. I could care less about bragging rights however. I play this game solo 95% of the time. I just want a really good pet that will make a good companion for me on my big-game hunting trips.

I removed the requirement for the recipe. I put it in only to guage reaction. I would really like to know the recipe, just so that I can protect my investment. If whomever makes this pet for me ever quits the game or decides not to be a BE anymore, I don't want to have to go thru the process of having 20 people look for the recipe again. I have no plans to sell the recipe, no matter the price. I understand that you guys work hard to get your mixtures just right, and I wouldn't disrespect the person who made this for me by selling him out.

I sincerely hope this isn't the case, but if that is the way it shakes down, I know several career BE's that I'm sure would be more than happy to make one for me.

I have been looking for a MBE to take this on for me for a while. None of them have ever gotten back to me. I still am without the pet that I so desparately want. I have several high level pets that are close, but I don't have the one I know can be made. I'll be justas excited for the MBE who will eventually make it as they will be when they bring it to me.

If you were on Chilastra, that is a challenge I might well have undertaken.

Ever thought about making an alt on Valcyn?

If you look here:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bio-engineer&message.id=61409

You'll see a combine I posted with gruesome details of a creature that comes "oh so close" to meeting all these criteria. I sold it last night for 125k on my vendor, lol.

I think it's 4% shy on the kinetic and 2% shy on electrical, and has blast vulnerability. The blast vulnerability came from the BMB's that I used, and that will be a toughie to get rid of without affecting the electricity resists.

I have an alt on Valcyn. he's a fencer with a swiss army knife and a dancer with two left feet, but mostly a faithful lot monkey to my partner's account there that she plays when I am not on.

I have been working on this pet for quite a while now, Phreack placed the order with me well before he placed the open challenge.

As far as I have been able to tell, it is impossible. I have come very close, but you can't get rid of that blast vuln, and you lose kinetic to raise electricity resist and vice versa. I posted the results of several gens of simulated clones, using the best availible combinations of DNA. It just won't happen.

If anyone can figure it out, you are a better BE than I.

Interesting challenge, but it's not possible with the current creature population and cloning system. The real benefit you are providing is you are holding out a carrot and encouraging the "recipe" crowd in theBE community to learn the system better.

The MR/BMB combination is as close as you'll get. In order to offset the 45% kinetic resist of the MR you would need 65% kinetic with equivalent weight in the forumla to get the 55% kinetic and it's just not possible to do that without sacrificing one of your other requirements.
