K... so I'm hearing that TKM's can't wear ANYTHING or they use their innate armor capabilities. I've even heard that wearing a ring will negate it.
So....why in the worldare there new tissues for increasing UA damage if TK's can't wear anything?

they can't wear any armor.
I've seen TKA's running around, fully clothed, and getting the innate armor bonus.
that said, a TKA CAN wear armor (if allowed by another profession)... they just lose their unarmored benefits.

Just wanted to make sure. Have a friend who is reporting that even wearing a ring is negating TIA.

make sure the combat spam option for "damage absorbed by armor" is turned on... it now defaults to the 'terse' option, which doesn't show the weapon type, attack type, or armor effectiveness.
as long as the 'limited information' combat spam is shown, you won't see armor (TKA or otherwise) working.
the other option is: an armor boot/glove/bandolier/belt/etc item is being used, which WILL interfere with TKA defenses.
