Greetings, BE's.
First things first: Yes, I read the FAQ.
Now then, onward. My question is twofold:
1. I am interested to hear from people who sell tissues to tailors and how it is generally priced. I know things may be changing quite a bit in the new system, but any info you can provide would be a great help. I know how I as a tailor sell the BE clothing to my customers, but my provider of BE tissues (who also happens to be my tailor's husband
) is going to sell what I don't use and has no idea where to start for pricing them. Right now he's making runs of the ranged/melee defense tissues and the new confidence cloth.
2. Has anyone done any testing/experimenting on the confidence cloth? The post about the tensile resistance cloth was extremely helpful and I would love to see something of this nature for the confidence cloth.
Thanks in advance, you guys are the greatest. Without you my life would be reduced to selling fleshwraps in the cantina for shuttle money!

It's generally server specific.
Somewhere between 200 a + and 8k a tissue in the past
so 17+ 17+taming would be 4k a tissue
a 16+16 of the same 3200
a 13+13 2600
The 8k were for enhanced myoflex:
that came out as 18+ and i still hate eggs
keep in mind also that there were top end tissues, 4+18+ melle stun were 4k but 4+17's were 3400
The new ones, shoot, keep us posted

Pre-cu the prices for tailor tissues were generally somewhere between 2k/ea - 5k/ea, somewhere in that range. Generally tissues that require egg, milk, mollusk, and herbivore meat cost more then ones taking carnivore, insect, wild meat etc. Pricing things in that range generally means that you are getting somewhere between 50%-100% markup over the value of materials you are using. Post cu prices may come down, hard to say. It's certainly easier to gather the materials that are needed now, but who knows what will happen in terms of demand and the actual number of BE's selling this stuff. It's difficult to predict.
2. Has anyone done any testing/experimenting on the confidence cloth? The post about the tensile resistance cloth was extremely helpful and I would love to see something of this nature for the confidence cloth.
I assume you mean fear release (confidence cloth being the basic version of that tissues). I haven't made any fear release post-cu, but the ingredients haven't changed, so I'm going to guess that the crafting won't be any different (I'll let you know if I find differently). Fear release is one of the most costly tissues to make however, because of the amount of meat it requires, and getting herbivore meat that has good values in the right places is near impossible. Fear Release seems to be one of the +20 theoretical max tissues, but in over a year of making such tissues, +17 is my personal best, and I consider +15 to be "good" and +16 to be "excellent" for this tissue.

Thanks for the replies everyone, especially you Arthur. You were VERY helpful.
Pave I'll give you a yell sometime. I thought you dropped BE... and by the way are we related? O.o

It really depends on your server. OnIntrepid, Creature Resource pricing was pretty high, and BEs rare, so we earned more for our tailor wares.
Pre-Cu I got like 90-100k for Bleeding Tissues crates (no longer in game), 125k-150k for most other tissues, around 200k for medical/entertainer tissue crates andup to 250k/crate for Cover Tissues. There are 25 in a crate.
Creature Resources are FAR easier to get now (except milk, eggs and mollusks) so pricing will change of course, but some of the newer tissues still take milk/eggs in bulk - and will be in high demand.
Melee/Ranged Defense will be a hot seller for example, and I plan on pricing it at 250k-300k a crate.
Best advice, contact a few reputable BEs on your server and ask or check what they charge. Most Bio-Engineers are not power hungry types, so they will help/assist new BE's get into the business.
