Has anyone else noticed tailors, chefs, docs and CMs advertising for BE specific components? I spoke with one tailor who was trying to gather the components to be able to make several runs of each type of tissue and was then going to respec his combat character to make the schematics.
WHile he's the only one I have direct confirmation from, I've seen chefs who don't have a BE alt but do have a combat character, CMs and Docs all advertising for BE components for items that would help their other class. Why else would a chef be offering a ton of money for very high OQ wood, not caring about the DR? Or a CM wanting to buy Yavinian Fiberplast?
My fear is that the ability to respec for a few days and make schematics that will last them for a year will adversely impact the tissues market in various ways with tailor being most affected followed by CM & doc then chef not really being affected considering how fast they go through additives.

I suspect this is partly due to frustration at not being able to get the tissues they want fast enough as we are VERY busy atm.

you cannot respec into a crafting proffession.
Notice combat medics and doctors no longer craft. They are not craftes.

that's a valid concern, though...
while a chef couldn't respec to BioE, a chef/combat toon could (not to pick on chefs here... they took a hard hit with the CU).
a chef/combat toon could easily pick up BioE, create a heap of schematics to enhance their crafts, then respec back to their former template 12 hours later, keeping the schematics.
this isn't going to be a problem for long... the respec is a temporary artifact of the game, and it'd be a stretch to make enough schematics (and to have enough resources on-hand to use in them) to last the rest of a toon's crafting career.
this raises a long-quiet spectre... the balance between interdependent professions, and the persistence of schematics and such. I'd rather not resurrect the arguments for and against this, since it seems to be a pretty solidly entrenched game-mechanic.

BE is both a crafting and combat profession and may be respecced into. Reread what I said above, I mentioned those with a combat character.
Yes, I'd rather not start another discussion on that topic either.
