I am working with a BE on Scylla. We are trying to create 2 level 35 cats.

Right now I own two twin tank-cats at level 35 with 10k HAM, armor, and 60% kinetic protection, pretty much nothing else. These are great for tanking creatures but lack the energy protection to help with faction grinding or things of that nature.

Is their a way to lower the kinetic protection and get some form of energy? Could a BE cat be made with 40% kinetic and 40% energy protection at this level with armor and no other defences?

If I needed to provide the info, what prime creatures would you suggest for DNA that provide good energy protection.

Much respect for those that help out!

I might start with Slinking Vor hunter. 45 K and E, AR1. Nuke the other resists. Sample down power, Clever, and courage.....not sure how many gens it would take....could go a few other ways as well.

hrm try YMP YMPGVT GVT R....I think I've used that with some success in the past. YMP and R are delicious together since the YMP provides excellent HAM and kinetic and decent energy with armor, the rancor has armor and stun/intim specials with decent damage, and they cancel out all the other resists except stun. You can sub in the GVT with anything else to raise the kin and ener resists, and maybe add ranged if you like.

Should give you a great tank, kinetic near cap and energy at 40 with AR1, stun/intim, damage in the 300s to 400s and around 12k 10k 9k HAM on gen 1; you may need two gens to get it to a twins level, though.

To me it's always been a goal to try to get CL 35, light armor, 60% kinetic, 60% energy. I've never been able to quite achieve that, but I can get pretty darn close. It's routinely possible to achieve CL 35, armor, 60/40 (my personal best being 60/55), typically in 3 generations. The key is to utilize creatures that have great stats in energy and kinetic (grassland voritor tracker, prowling gurreck are two favorites) and mix them with other creatures that will give you vulnerabilities to other resistances, and then pull in the armor by mixing with creatures like young malkolok plains walker, ancient graul, and bark mite burrower queen. You should realize though that with the merek harvester recipe you can get very high damage (500 or so), whereas with these recipes, typically damage will be closer to 300 depending on how many vulnerabilities you are able to get.

I've been trying to get that. Period. I managed to get 60/60 no armour pretty easily but getting it with armour is difficult. I'm in the same boat as you where I can get about 60/55/AR1 before something falls off (usually the armour). I suspect the only way to get would be to use RCSQ DNA mixed with a 60/60/vulns pet. Judging by the high fortitude of queenie, it would probably only need to be RCSQ-RCSQ-donor-donor-donor to get it too work. The problem lies with the fact that there is nothing with more than 60% energy and high fortitude... unless you got some pre-nerf peko peko albatross DNA lying about
