The empire needs to give stormtroopers some means of personal transport. How else are the captains that I pick up as pets supposed to keep up?

Does this happen to anyone else? One or more stormtroopers just sort of following you along?

There are times I'll be out sampling when I'll run into a squad of stormtroopers. Sometimes I'm scanned, others I'm not. But in either case, I often start getting followed by one of the leaders, most often a captain. It exhibits the same personality that a droid does when it's following you; you run off, the droid/captain sits there, notices you're gone, then scurries off afterward. This same type of following is also seen when doing an escort mission.

There was one time on Endor I got curious, how far would the squad follow me? I was maybe 1.5km from the smugglers outpost so I headed there, slow enough that if they wanted to keep up with me, they could. They did. They followed the entire way.

It's kind of cool to have your own stormtrooper squad but they obey commands as well as a newly tamed pet does.

Does this happen to anyone else?
