This is just some free-association style thinking about pet uses.
I've been trying to come up with some ideas for special purpose pets. In general, I'm not so much looking at feasability as desirability, setting some broad goals to try to reach. I'm curious what other special purpose pets people have come up with, both in terms of goals and in the approach used to achieve them. All pets would have goals of level 20-25, 33-35, and 70.
Here are some examples. Not all are achievable at all levels:
1. Anti-Creature attack/defense combo for dedicated MCH
---60% Kinetic, Lt. Armor
---as much as possible vulnerable to all else
---highest HAM and damage achievable for level
---Attack speed <2
---Intimidate plus offensive special attack (strong poison, knockdown, etc--anything that results in the creature taking more damage.)
2. Cave version of above--same pet but in a very small skin for caves.
3. Anti-Creature pet for creatures with ranged attack
Same as #1, but with additional high energy resistance
4. Anti sith thug tank (to keep a sith thug from using a ranged attack)
--Light armor, 60% kinetic + very high stun resistance (YMPW work well here). Some energy resistance helpful.
--Damage is not relevant.
--Intimidate plus another defensive special
5. Anti rifleman PvP (to decrease a rifleman's effectiveness in combat)
--Light armor, with high energy and acid resistances.
--good running speed (cats) to cover the distance
--moderate damage to make it so the rifleman can't just ignore the pet
--intimidate and blinding strike
6. Triplet goals for anti-PvE
--tank, torpedo, and what else?
--Tank would be the first attacker and would have high resistances to the target's attack and high HAM with minimal damage
--Torpedo would have moderate HAM and resistances, but good specials and attack ability.
--The three pets would have six different specials: Intimidate, Dizzy, Blind, Knockdown or Crippling, and what other two specials?
--Has anyone considered an imbalanced pair with a low-level tank and a higher level torpedo?
Has anyone else tried to make specific-purpose pets with any success? What other specific purposes have people needed? What approaches have been used to create the pets for the purpose designed? Given a possibility of six specials, and unlimited sources of the specials, which six would you choose?

Ihave a triplet that does
Stun/Dizzy
Intim/Blind
Crippling/Dizzy
It seem to work wellin PvE. They are AR1 60% kinetic variant.
I have tried an unbalanced route before. 1 big one and 1 ranged.
As ranged starts to attack earlier than big tank, ranged one gets the aggro first so it did not work too well.
I guess I will have to issue two different command with a bit of delay for ranged.
If I may add a couple more special pets:
7. Base raid support pet
- Straight IMB clone with stun/blast immunity
- used against block turrets and dark troopers
8.Crowd control pet (sorry not BE)
- Gaping Spider Recluse with poison spray
- Mantigrue Screecher with plague strike
- used mostly against weaker mobs that like to gang up
- also when I want poison or disease to stick for sure

you forgot one....anti-ranger hehe....Dont know if Entanglement resistant means its resistant to traps, but traps work amazingly well on creatures, just keep launching p-darts and sonic pulses
