The other day I was making some of my high damage non-CH pets which require 3 generations to make. I had the worst luck with getting DNA samples from my clones. It took 3 separate 2nd gen pets to get the 3 required DNA samples for the 3rd gen. It took 4 separate 1st gen pets to get the 9 required DNA samples to make those 3 2nd gen pets. This added up to a grand total of 28 DNA samples from the wild used to make that one 3rd gen pet.

Last night the exact opposite happened. I turned 2 1st gen pets into 4 2nd gen pets which yielded SEVEN(7) 3rd gen pets. I was ecstatic. 32 DNA samples from the wild to make 7 pets, that's a pretty damn good ratio considering you need at least 35 DNA samples to make 7 1st gen pets, but 7 THIRD gen pets? wow.

Funny how that works out sometimes. I would say that on average I get a lot more samples from a creature in the wild than I do from my clones. I should keep a log of that sometime to see if there really is a difference in the success rate.
