I've been wondering this myself, and I'll try to get time tonight to test it. We could have a very strange situation where there will now be starport spam like:

"LEVEL 80 CRAFTER SOLO GROUP FORMING HERE. 20K BANK TIP GETS YOU IN THE GROUP!"

Going from lvl 1 to lvl 80 is now the most powerful "buff" available.

lol more solo group spam at starports and I'm interested. That's tragic and yet I can't stop laughing.

Well, I haven't really had a problem getting beaten on while sampling. I just have scout 4-0-4-0 and some old pre CU mask scent clothing (don't know if that does anything anymore). I have sampled up to CL 67 without a problem. I use the same rules I always used as far as when to stop and move on so I don't encourage aggro. Actually, It seems to be a little easier to sneak up on stuff now than it was before. Of course, that could be because I don't really remember since I have not played in about 4 months.

Granted, for fun I ran up and whacked a level 67 mob to see what it would do to me, and it does indeed kill me in 1 hit ( I am CL19!!). Sure, it's an issue, I guess, but when I used to go sampling before, I didn't take anything so I could haul in the maximum number of dna samples and only insured my mask scent clothing. I used to get slaughtered be MR all the time, but that was the fun, to me. Dunno, maybe I'm strange, but it actually doesn't bother me at all that I can die in one hit while sampling DNA. I don't think it is any more or less frustrating than sampling MR for 8 hours and getting 3 samples...

I don't get beat down...until my mask breaks. If my mask breaks I am road kill. I will get one hit incapped three times and sent to the cloners by some high level critter I have no hope of taking on. I don't even have time to tell my pets to attack. It's that quick. I have novice rifles and I am escorted by two pets. All of that is for naught because I get tripple capped killed that fast.

I believe this is where are lot of the post CURB DNA collecting frustration comes from, not to mention the stats are all out of wack with no specials.

Slightly off-topic, but if you are then level 80 could you use Instant-Stim Ds? That could also help keep yourself alive...

I haven't heard of anyone trying this out, but I would be interested to know the results. The market for stimDs may be even larger than I originally thought...

Actually pop a stim D, then down one of those Ruby Drinks and you can take another Stim D right away and a third one 30 secs later... It's a great drink..
