Thats about the time between my last two sales on my droid vendor. Im on the planetary map, close to a shuttle, but my sales are in the toilet. Im also priced extremely low, 5K for storage droids, less than 100K for any top combat droid (107 rated combat modules 99% HAM).
Has anyone heard of anything coming up in the near future that might make me want to keep DE? Ever since I got the game I've wanted to make droids and it suits my playstyle very well, but if I get more stuff falling off my vendor that I sell it gets really disheartening.

Whats the pricing like on your server? Are you competative? Do people know you? If they don't you might want to spend sometime in C-net or Theed. You don't need to resort to spam, just spend sometime getting to know other players. Have a droid out, BLL's always get attention. Have a Probot killing critters, you'll get some questions about them.

The thing that will help is building your clientbase. Get out there and find a good populated area and 'camp' it a bit. I'd bet you can start to send folks to your vendor and/or make orders there on the spot.
Encourage your clients to tell their friends and the sales will start to increase.
Basically..........................advertise.
It seems overly obvious but it does work (for me, at least).

Having just returned recently, I really need to start doing this myself. Problem is that the only time I get to play is spent gathering resources and crafting.
It helps that I don't run my own vendor but I would still like to see my droids actually getting sold so that I can keep resupplying my retailer.

Once I advertised for entertainer droids on the trade forums. I had 6 sold in 2 days. Look to see what is needed in the market.

Also make sure you are searchable and have your Master Droid Engineer tag on. I am always getting /tells when logged in, but moreso when I'm just standing in front of Coronet Starport with my droid out crafting away.
Buying a droid is generally more of an impulse thing for most people, I've noticed. "Hey, my ship would be better if I had an astromech! There is a DE standing there, lets buy something"
Suggestions here are great, get in a populated area, have lots of patience, demonstrate your droid capability, you'll build up your client base.
Customer service also goes a very long way. Your name means everything. Word of mouth from satisfied clients will get your the best revenue.
Teach how to use the droids. Give out a customization kit, or a battery, or both, with each sale. People really appreciate that sort of thing.

I can definately confirm that. I'm in a highly trafficked mall near theed and 2 hours between sales is a big gap for me. Stocked with about 80 chassis/module variations to zoom in on those impulse shoppers.

Two things i've found help
1) a location very near the main starport of a planet. My shop is 900m outside of theed, and it's a straight shot on a swoop...not a single building to dodge
2) Advertise on the trade forums! I put up a post on my server's trade forum (and make sure you put the word "Droid" in the title for those searching) and business is booming. I think the fact that i also put in a fully detailed pricelist and what i had in stock helped also as folks knew i had what they wanted when they came. I had folks paging me within minutes of the post about droids. Not saying you'll have the same quick response...but atleast on my server there seems to be a major lack of MDEs and folks want 'em

Lately, sales have sagged a bit except for BH droids (can't keep those damn probe droid in stock). But honestly, I think the main reason I have relatively constant sales is because I am the first shop you see when you head south from the cnet starport. Word-of-mouth helps, but like one person said...most droid sales are on impulse, and it's good to have a well-stocked vendor with a good variety.
If I did not have a high visibility shop, I would more than likely try to set up a vendor in a high visibility mall. Spamming works and all, but having a good visible vendor is the best, IMHO.

They are working on it. It's rough but use the time to get used to the meds. Besides, you can still make some decent non-CH pets. Just check the formulas in the forums. Hang in there, it will get better.
