Bulwark.....simply brilliant.
As much as i would enjoy forcefully inserting Bulwark into a wood chipper, he has a point.

As a master ranger, I get about 650 units off of a canyon krayt dragon.

A group of six of us were killing Krayt's the other day - after several people harvested off each carcass with each averaging about 450 units, we were getting over 1000-1500ish per kill. I was actually surprised that more than one of us could harvest meat off the same kill but it was happening. The meat was also of very high quality.

Good luck. The Krayt's do take a very large group or competent smaller one to take down though.

Best bang for the kill is usually herbivorous animals. They have on average the highest meat harvest vs. difficulty to kill.

Tal, I killed those and did poorly. It must have something to do with killing power VS killability. It took me a whole miserable night to get 2k of meat off them where in Dath, I can easily get 6k. Also, some drops they have nerfed, like the pikets in Dant.

I find that the more the plane ticket costs, the more meat you get per hour. Yavin Avian might be the easiest. Those Chokus die fast and yield well.

I have a hired hand who is MCH and commando and I have to threaten to give him crummy pet stims to get him to go to Rori. hehe.

Of course none of that means anything if you're looking for quality. 1k meat per kill from krayts is great unless it's 10 oq 10pe, then it's just 1k of grinding meat. If you're looking for quality, the best creature to kill is going to vary greatly.

Oddly enough the best things to get meat from is CL10-20 mobs. Take levisqualls for example. They can be killed fairly easily and give around 20-30 resources, that means that you can kill around 8 of them and get around as much as from the high end content for alot less effort plus you'll do it faster.

This is a trick question, whether you know it or not, lol. First you have to figure out what type of meat you need. Then figure out what planet has it in good quality during the particular resource shift you are in. Only then can you start talking about which particular critters you want to hunt.

I kinda agree with Tal. Often times if you are solo the wimpier critters give you more bang for the buck. The other day, when the herb meat was really good on my server and on my planet I came across a durni lair. I killed and killed and killed some more until they were all gone and before I was done had 400+ herb meat just from that one lair in probably 15-20 min. And of course there was little or no danger from the little bunnies, lol.
