Thread: Question from a MCH? About new patch!!!
Using Tal's calculations this creature can't be made.
The resists alone end up costing 1100 pts. A CL 70 creature can only handle 700 resist pts.
You guys will be getting lots of custom orders once the patch goes in. Wild pets will be a thing of the past and bio-eng pets will be very popular. So my question is, can you make these pets with these stats, going for the whole 70 levels to call out.
Level 70 Rancor / Kimogila / Gurreck Light Armor Damage 890-900 To Hit: .55 Speed 2.5
Resists: 100% (Heat, Electric, Acid), 75% (Kinetic, Blast), 50% (Energy, Restraint, Stun, Cold)
I just want to know if this is possible or if you think this pet will have a class higher than 70. I want to utilize all of my ch skills in a single pet. Also, how much would a pet like this cost a MCH? I know it would be expensive, but I'm sure the MCH wouldn't mind paying up.
You should probably wait until after the patch to ask this question. We're still not sure what all we can do yet.

Can someone tell me if this tree is up to date? http://www.geocities.com/kahlessreborn/chtree.html
I was goingby Theart's 3rd post...http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=8551&highlight=creatures+approaching#M8551 that doesn't list a change to tameable level, just that they're leaving the callable level at 70 iinstead of 60 as was first proposed...
I'm a CH "dabbler" (yeah yeah, I know... booo *hiss*
) but it's because my first profession (BH) doesn't afford me the points to actually get much higher in ANY profession. Anyway, I'm not looking for any hard-and-fast rules or anything like that as I know the patch isn't live, and is thus subject to change (as well as nobody knowing for sure how the whole thing works on TC anyway). I just wanted to know if buying a pet from an MBE is going to be like buying a new car, or is it going to be like buying a used car... What I mean is, will I be able to walk into an MBE's shop and say "What can you show me in a light-armored, fast-moving, kinetic-resistant tanking pet/mount with a cl of ** or lower?" or is it going to be more like "Ok... give me some examples of a good kinetic tanking pet you've made, and I'll pick one of them."
I know they've said you will be able to "custom-order/build" pets, but I was wondering if anyone has any idea of the amount of customization you can use. In other words:
Say I wanted a good kinetic tanking pet, but can only control a cl 20. Would the BE be able to tell me
BE: "Ok... for that cl, I can make you a cat with a kinetic resist of 70% with aHAM of 9000, but no armor or other resists. But I can make it purple if you want."
or will it be a
BE: "Well... let's see... Hmmmmm... If I combine these 2,567,942 DNA samples, I MIGHT be able to make something you can use..."..... 619 combines (and critical failures) later... "Ok... I was able to make a cat with 27% kinetic, 31%energy, and 2% blast resists, but the cl is 22. That will be 4.3 billion credits please."
me: "But the cl is too high. I can't use the creature."
BE: "But I made the creature as best I could with the parameters they allow us to experiment on."
Not sure if this whole thing made sense (it made sense to me, but then again I'm tired and at work
).
No it made sense to me to. But I think we need to give the BE's times to adapt to their new rules. Give them a couple weeks and we'll see posts in the CH forum like
"Creatures made to order. Want a PvE tank come see the new and improved Gruber T. Barnum Super Ancient Frenzied Graul! Now with krayt DNA for that extra special punch. Bidding starts at 1 million"
This is a good thing. BE's deserve this and should be more then pet doctors. I look forward to bidding on some super pets for my master CH. In fact reading these forums is thinking of taking my second account into BE
