Check swgcraft.com when and if it comes back up. A lot of people spend time updating this to let everybody know what resources are availible on what planets.

Any given Dathomir Insect gives meat that ranges from 850+ OQ.

Dathomir Insect Meat is 540 on my server right now. With resource shifts, there isn't really a spot that is the best always. Travel and kill a few newbie creatures until you find a planet that has a high quality type of meat. Then just stay on that planet and kill any creature with that type of meat.

Meats, just like every other resource in the game, will shift in quality. the only way to know what it is on your server is to kill or have somone kill creatures that have the kind of meat you need.

On Bria, as of yesterday (Sunday), Talutian Carnivore was over 900 in both PE and OQ.

But.. This is not the same across servers, I don't think.

I have found swgcraft.com to be somewhat lacking on update frequency so what I have found works best for me is to go to the bazaar - not to buy per se (I sometimes find a good deal and buy) but to checkout current meat quality being offered up for sale. The best way to do this is to choose the galaxy wide option then go to resources and then choose organic food from the left hand side item catagories. You will get a list of all the meat n flora being sold on the server. Sort the list by name and then look at all the meat types listed and check their stats - if you see stats you like - then look at the meat type and name and it will also tell you the planet where that particular type of meat comes from ie Carnivore meat (Etake) on the stat side - then on the display side with the quantity you will see something like Tattoine Carnivore Meat. Make sure you are looking at meat that has like 6 days left on the auction time - that way you can be 'pretty' sure that it was dropped recently - especially if there is alot of it listed on the market. Make sure and look at all meat listed and not just the expensive sales. I have found alot of the good qual stuff listed for small prices for small quantities.

So when you get to the 'chosen' planet andyour not the best hunter and a better shopper :-) another way is to open your map for the current planet your on and then look under the vendors list - expand that out and then choose resources. Many people use different types of name for their vendors but names like Ranger Ricks - Organics R Us or Butcher Shop are good indicators ;-)

I know this is not a sure fire way - but hey it works for me - it may work for you.

Cheers
