Thread: so does this mean i cam make a duplicate clone of a REAL greater sludge panther?
WIth the old system that would get you a GSP 10 levels below a wild GSP. I too am interested in how this would work post-patch. Taking DNA of a specific level, without experimentation, will give you that specific level? And with experimentation the final critter could be made higher/lower than the DNA source? I saw Talthazar's web site, which shows the impact of mix/match on resists.
The way I understand it, the skin you use has a min/max CL attached to it. So a Razor Cat skin will be limited to lvl 25-45 (wild guess at the numbers). The HAM that goes along with that CL would also fall in a certain range. Within that range the HAM is impacted by the DNA source. ANd the specials, armor and resists are products of the DNA sources, and not the skin.
Then experimentation will be able to impact ... what? HAM I assume. But can you create higher resists through experimentation? Add new special attacks? Lower CL?
So based on my limited understanding - the final CL would be a function of the Skin (which limits the HAM range), the DNA (which changes HAM, adds resists and specials), and the Experimentation (which changes some other stuff).

What is the "skin?" I'm new to BE and confused.
the Skin would be the animal shape you want your generic DNA templet to take ( durni, dewback, squall, and for the masters...KIMOGILIA)
Oh so it's the logical answer.... I thought there was some new component and I was just missing out on some info...
Thanks.
