Thread: What am I doing wrong? Has the BE sampling system suddendly changed?

I've been a Novice Bio-Engineerfor about a week now. I remember when I first started I failed quite a few times, but within an hour or two of sampling around Coronet I managed to get a decent amount of DNA samples.
Strangely enough, yesterday was a great day!!! Just in 1 hour I managed to sample 70 (Yes 70) DNA Samples from creatures around Coronet! I stopped sampling because my inventory and Backpack were full !!! I barely failed any sampling, I was so happy.
TODAY... now... explain to me this. I'm wearing the same clothes (none are Bio-eng or have skill tapes), carrying the same Carbine in my hand, I maskscent the same way as I always do and DNA Sample creatures the same way as I've been doing for a week...
Can someone explain to me why for the past 30 minutes, by doing the exact same thing as for a week did I only manage to sample 5 DNA SAMPLES!!! 5 CRUMMY DNA SAMPLES!!! I failed everything... everything failed... from Corellian Butterflies to Gnorts to those tiny rats. Before giving up, I logged, came back into the game, sampled a couple more tiny creatures,around Coronet, FAILEDTO SAMPLE EVERY SINGLE ONE, then punched my keyboard, sweared at my PC and shut SWG down.
What affects our DNA Sampling rate? Something has to... I had to do something different in my way of playing the game to fail non-stop every single creatures. What's wrong, was the game just buggy tonight? I mean, should I just keep failing until I manage to get 1 DNA Sample every 10 minutes?

dam'mit, why the hell was the post written twice.... /sigh ... okay fine, come flame me and call me a n00b... I never take insults seriously anymore anyways. I mean the real immature ones are the ones whocall people who do mistakes "n00bs" ...

Other than a full inventory, I don't know what would cause anyone to fail continually. Chalk it up to bad luck? I know in crafting sometimes you have those. At times like those, I just find something else to do and try again the next day.

YES!!! I found the problem all thanks to myself, not SOE!
I tried do disequip my clothes and GUESS WHAT!!! THEY COULDN'T BE REMOVED!!!! Man was I stuck like crazy, and I finally managed to get'em removed, I had my backpack not equipped and I was only able to remove my clothes after equipping my backpack! Now I'm back to my 1 out of 10 failures AND NOT 9 out of 10 FAILURES!
Now that's what I call a F***ED UP BUG!!! Failing sampling just because my clothes were bugged... sheesh...
