Thread: Very, Very, Very Odd template consideration thoughts?

I am currently a 2-3-2-3 Bio-Engineer, and I plan to master the profession. In my seemingly never-ending quest to come up with fun, variant templates to mate up with this class, I came up with the following. Hopefully, I will not be completely laughed out of here. When I first started the profession, I was, like half a million other people, an aspiring Rifleman. This quickly became unworkable, because sampling is a close range activity, thus killing my accuracy, and more often than not, getting me incapped if the creature got a bit upset at my needle poking. Somewhere along the line, a friend of mine picked up Merchant, and I started looking at ways to offer more than the standard tissues, pets, and Stims. Enter Tailor. I only plan on getting the Fieldwear line, and a bit of Tailoring, basically so I can offer a type of "Bio-Enhanced Hunting Gear" line. So, the solid part of my plan is this:

Scout - 1,0,1,0 / Medic - 0,0,0,4 / Artisan - 0,4,0,0 / Master BE / Tailor - 0,4,0,2

Now, this doesn't leave much room for combat skills, however, I tend to hunt with a trio most of the time anyway. I do like having my independence as well, but I don't need to solo hunt Rancors either. So my plan is also to....drumroll....

Master Creature Handler

I figure if I am sampling, I can stick a pet or two on an aggro creature, and if possible, take it down, otherwise, I can make a tactical retreat without having to rely on spamming warning shot or burst run.

My question is, will a CH duo, or trio or anything, kill absolutely anything on its own, using BE pets I make myself. AS I reside on Kettemoor, this seemed like the best "in character" matchup possible, but my curiosity is piqued as to what other bioengineers think of using just the creatures, stims, and tissues they make to keep them alive. I figure at the very least, I will get a very good understanding of what creature handlers are looking for in pets for various situations.

Any input is appreciated.

"Scout - 1,0,1,0 / Medic - 0,0,0,4 / Artisan - 0,4,0,0 / Master BE / Tailor - 0,4,0,2"

Just a small point, for BE and CH you will need to be 4,0,4,0 so the templat4e you came up with doesn't work. Basically you can do it all but 0,4,0,2 in tailor (just 0,4,0,0 or vaarient).

I'm curently Master BE and almost Master CH along with business3. Having very little combat skills can be a pain, but I live with it I'll probably drop CH once I've hit master and had some fun with the various pet combo's I can produce. So you could concentrate on BE and CH for now, and if you get bored with CH after a while, concentrate on the other areas. Gives you plenty of time to stock up on tissues for tailer

Just my thoughts

Yep, yep, you are correct, I don't know what I was thinking. I can still keep tailor, but sockets are out of the question, and my colors may be a bit limited. Of course, given how easy it is to re-allocated skill poitns, I will probably be in a constant state of flux until I find the template that feels "right".
