ATM I'm not gonna put up any new stickies till I've had a chance to go through and organise them all - we have far too many right now.
I completely agree....
But I think this is a good idea too.... so don't forget it...
Unfortunatly even with a sticky at the top like that... most people will just post anyways.... The poeple that don't search their forums won't sift through that thread

I agree that there should be a place in the trade forums, but the simple volume of requests we are seeing here demonstrates that there is not so easily locatable place being used, at least in many of them. I advertise in my galaxy trade forum, and unless I set up an auction, it drops off the first page in an average of less than two hours.
A single, stickied thread that could be labelled "Find a BE on your server here" or something would cut down a lot of the other requests. Remember, these people are posting here, most often, because they cannot find it on their own galaxy trade forums, and even an "advertise your vendor" thread of all the crafters in a galaxy would get a bit overwhelming. I think this is as good a way to provide the listing, specific to the BE community, as we are likely to find, and chances are it will grow more useful as it becomes a fixture that people know they can refer to and use.
Besides, I would much rather see the community able to say "go here to find your answers" than to say "go try agains somewhere else", as I think most of us would.

I'm not saying this is a bad idea and I'm certainly not saying NO, I'm just saying we have 11 stickies already - when I've cleaned up the clutter then we shall have a place to advertise.
I recently noticed that Wanderhome has such a sticky. Its just a thread where people can spam their vendor locations and such. Dunno if it's really a good idea or not. I was looking through that from the standpoint of a "gun bunny" wanting to buy goods and decided it was useless to me. Too random, too unspecific, I really had no idea what people were stocking and at what prices, or whether they were just advertising empty "coming soon" vendors.
Then of course you're always going to have "PantieRaiders".
