So far I cant find a dancer that is not afk to buff my for my BE crafting needs. But my competition on bloodfin is telling me that the BE entertainer buffs are broken.

Can anyone else verify this? If you have used the buffs, do you notice an increase in components as well as your final products?

I'm very sorry if this has been asked before, I went back 6 pages on these forums and couldn't find any answers.

Thanks for your time,
nimh

The resource buffs for BE do work, but only for pet crafting.

It has been positively confirmed to have no effect on meds, chef tissues, or tailor tissues.

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

I've been able to use the BE buff to my advantage when crafting pets (when I'm soooo close to a CL70 but need a little boost to hit it just right) but that's all it's good for - crafting pets - just like the others have said.

be careful getting the buff if you're following a specific recipe that is meant to hit a target CL, since the buff will bump up the CL and stats a bit and you won't hitthat target CL. A lot of people really think the buff affecting pets is silly since most have spent months orweeks perfecting a recipe to hit a specific level and all the buff does it throw off their recipes, but if you think about it, the buff CAN be used positively to your advantage to help you in recipes where you need the extra oompfh. I try to view it not as a negative thing anymore, except for the part where the buff doesn't affect all of our other crafting aspects of our profession, such as meds and tissues. That's what ridiculous

Anyway, if you're buffed and you're following a recipe that is meant to hit CL35, for example, don't be surprised if you hit CL36 or 37 on the recipe, so just watch out for situations like that!

Good luck!

And I really hate to point this out... but as a master dancer/musician and entertainer on my main for almost 2 years now, did you ever stop to think WHY we're not around anymore? We made a fuss because we were being told that we weren't needed because it was too easy tojust go toan AFK entertainer buff bot. I love how those that supported the AFK play and ent buff botsare now looking for us again and wondering why we're not around.

Now those people are crying because they can't find a LIVE ent to give them special buffs. We're not around anymore because those people who supported the afk buff bots pushed us away by telling us we weren't needed and that they'd rather use the afk entertainer buff bots instead of having to mess with a live person because it was "more convenient."

Don't get me started on this.

I don't get an extra 15% xp when i am crafting pets with a BE buff. I tested it. I cannot tell if i would from crafting a DNA template since i don't know what determines how much xp we get for crafting those. For level 60 templates i get about 380 xp and for baby animals i get much less. So it is hard to say it is exactly the same amount of xp needed. But assembling an animal with a buff definately gives an extra 0% at least in practice mode.

I thought the 'generic' inspiration buff was the one which gave a 10% increase to experience points gained and the Bio Engineer buff gave bonuses to assembly and experimentation but nothing to experience points gained.

I use the Artisan buff when I want to make the best product I can with lowest risk of getting critical fails but I use the 'Generic' buff if I want more XP points as Im grinding in practice mode. It definitely works grinding Broad spectrum Nutrients as the XP goes up to 184 per item.

Has anyone tried using the Artisan buff when making medical products and tissuesto get a feel if it helps ? (I know it shouldn't but since the BE buff only affects pet crafting Im clutching at straws!)

Ooops...Im talking crap again, here are the patch notes:

  • The existing inspiration buff granted by entertainers is now described as a "General Inspiration"

    • The "General Inspiration" buff no longer gives a bonus to crafting success

  • Entertainer professions will now be able to apply non-combat profession specific inspiration buffs. Players with a(n)...

    • Artisan Inspiration will receive a 12% experience bonus, a 5% bonus to assembly and experimentation, and a 1% bonus to resource quality when crafting any of the following types of items: weapons, food, clothing, vehicles, installations, and generic (miscellaneous) items.
    • Bio-engineer Inspiration will receive a 15% experience bonus, a 10% bonus to assembly and experimentation, and a 2% bonus to resource quality when crafting genetic type items.

  • So it should be giving a 15% Experience Bonus. I am sure when I looked at the Inspiration icon on my Artisan buff it did not mention any experience bonus but I will check again tonight. Hey I have just beaten my record on the most useless post I have ever put up

Is there an entertainer chat channel on your server? You can check on the dancer forum to see if anyone listed one for your server. That's the easiest way to find an At The Keyboard entertainer.
